Palmyra- I just saw Fiona and the male bonding inside the nestbox, but then she bounded out the door and flew away....I wonder if she’s having second thoughts about “adulting”

Palmyra Grove- Fiona is perched on a post in front of the nestbox while the male is perched at the nestbox eyeing Fiona.......... :biggrin:

I haven't seen it. I thought they were done, so stopped checking them until closer to hatch.

Im watching the unbanded male at Palmyra...First he was standing motionless in the scrape area, then he slooowly walked our to hop on the perch. I think he realizes that his “intended “ is a “runaway bride” I hope he can find another elegible female....

I think you're right. I feel so bad for him...I bet he sure wishes Mom had come back. Maybe Fiona realized he was her adopted Dad...kidding..

Palmyra- I can’t tell what’s going on here. An adult falcon is standing in the nestbox, and there is another bird perched in front and to the side of the nestbox. There is a post in front of it so I cannot see it very well...The second cam shows dark brown and gray on its back. Could it be that Fiona is back? Yes she is! The male coaxed her into the nestbox for a short bonding session (she didn’t seem very sincere in the part I saw). Then she stepped around the male hopped out to the nestbox platform and flew away....Poor fella....
