Lucky little birds get an early breakfast. First you see the arrival of that breakfast then a few minutes of fun with the juveniles inside the box before their meal arrives. Already one of the young spreading out those wings and you can see how the wing feathers are coming in. 2nd breakfast not included in the video.

We have set the banding date for Friday, June 18th at 7:30 am. It will take us a bit of time to enter the nest but I anticipate our arrival on cam sometime between 7:45 and 8:15. We will be placing two bands on each chick and collecting feather samples for DNA and contaminant testing. I will also confirm the sex of each chick and report back to our ground crew so they can update this forum.
