Nova and Neander have 3 eggs this year. Everything has been going well with incubation until yesterday when Neander was absent most of day and came in around 4:30 limping, looking disheveled and keeping right eye closed on and off. He relieved Nova but was unable to get on the eggs so laid next to them. He can fly well but definitely favoring his left leg. Today, he’s still limping but did get onto the eggs ok. It’s been verified that there is an intruder in the area.

oh no, I just saw him yesterday, He came twice to take over and she was not ready. felt she was close to a hatch.
I just came in ot see if a hatch an d this.

It’s from the main cam…thanks! NG (New Guy) has brought food 3 times so far today…great provider but hasn’t gone near the eyases yet. He appears to be inexperienced so will see how it goes but Nova is a great mom.
