Solo has not been seen for well over a week. She has probably begun her peregrinations. hopefully she will do well - she has the right stuff.

Both adults spend a lot of time in the box now. It may be a bit mopre comfortable in this hot weather (97 degreers today). The sun only hits the box at all for a couple hours in the early morning. Whitman has been tending the scrapes daily, and they meet for bowing and ee-chupping sessions once or twice a day.

The previous couple, Red Guirl and Trinity, usually maintained at least a six to eight inch separation between their beaks during these sessions. Whitman and Bridget get much closer, and Bridget will often move in to touch beaks. That seems to be a bit intense for Whitman, who usually jumps to the top shelf and leaves when she moves in this close.

The resident male, Whitman, has not been seen for several days. A different male has been in the area, and has been doing what look like display flights for Bridget, the resident female. Bridget does not try to chase the new falcon away. When he's around she seems to go to the nest box to watch him, and vocalizes with ee-chups but not alarm calls. The new falcon is unbanded.

Oh no. This is nature but I liked Whitman. Very good provider and seemed to teach Bridget the ropes. Maybe he is on a short walkabout so to speak

The female has not fledged yet. The male has disappeared, although the fledge watch group feel the the parents know where he is.
