:1val: The chicks are snoozing in their favorite spot and Niecey is preening in hers. Has been a cloudy day with rain, but to clear some this afternoon per forecast.

:flirty: Came in on feed in progress! Saw 2 getting bites, the 3rd one started to get a bite, but another reached in and got it, so that 3rd one decided it wasn't really interested and laid down. The other 2 ate more and Niecey, then they turned away from her and after she took a bite, she continued to tear and offer and got 1 of them to accept one last bite and that was it, they had enough. She left with the remains and they got situated in a group. All had crops, some huge. She came back in and is standing over them to brood. Pin feathers are becoming more obvious now.

:1val: Have been gone part of day, but the times I checked this morning, I missed any activity. Right now the chicks are piled up near the front open area and I do not see the adults from this view. Update from "Falcon Wire"

5/10/2021 :: Growing Up Fast
Despite the wet weather this past weekend, the hatchlings were fed multiple times. Falcon Cam followers may have noticed how full their crops were! As they grow remarkably fast, multiple feedings are necessary. The adults will continue to provide prey as this growth continues. By the end of May, these young falcons will be ready to fledge! Stay tuned to the PA Falcon Cam to watch this remarkable growth.

:eggthumb: 85 is on the point, the chicks are asleep, Niecey on the front wall. Cloudy right now, unsure if it's been raining. Some sun this afternoon is forecast.

:7val: Loza! The 3 chicks are currently sprawled out against the wall and I do not see the parents from this view of cams. Left tab up and after awhile heard vocals and went in and Dad was on the point preening, then looking around including upward several times, then back to preening. In a bit, heard kak, kak, kak, but by the time I got in and able to get the cams to show, the scene was the same as when I left. He's watching the chicks from the point. Wish I would get lucky and he would enter the nest.

:15heartbeat: Niecey in the nest napping and the chicks are spread out for the first time that I have seen. One in their usual corner, one at back door and one at front door.

There was a feeding about an hour ago. I find it upsetting that 85 has shown hardly any interest in the chicks, although he is doing a good job with providing food. Banding was done this morning in Wilmington for our own Red Girl's four chicks. They are all females!

:loveheart2: Chicks are alone in the nest for their naptime. Unable to see either parent per cam views. At 17:27, can hear one of the adults, but still unable to see them. 85 on the point at 17:29. Niecey in with food at 17:36. 85 remains on the point preening. Chicks are hungry, it's a fast and furious feed! Feed over fairly quickly. Niecey no longer in view and 85 remains on the point. Fighting COD, Niecey is back with food and they are eating again. Feed over again at about 5:50. One of the chicks was walking around (yellow feet) and plopped down, got back up and is standing past the front nest wall, but still in nest. It is bobbing it's head and looking outward from the nest. It went back and all are lying down now. 85 is watching from the point. He flew at 5:56 after a PS onto the point. Do not see Niecey, but she may be there and out of view of the cams.

:flirty: It will not be long before they venture out of the nest. One is lying across the stick at the front door and the other two are standing near the back door looking out. Niecey is preening and atop the front nest wall.

:15heartbeat: I am only seeing 2 chicks in the nest, so guess 1 is out exploring and can not be seen this view of cams. Do not see the adults either. Wonder if 85 will be able to interact with them more, once they are out and about.
