I did not see it, but got a report from a VERY reliable source that a third falcon was seen this morning. No word on the gender.

2/10/2021 :: A battle on the ledge

As followers of PA Falcon Cam are well aware, two male falcons, 38/S and 85 A/K, have been visiting the 15th floor ledge. Of these two interlopers, 85 A/K has been the most frequent visitor. Earlier today, two falcons were engaged in battle. This conflict suggests competition to determine this year's resident male could be underway. The resident male, W/V, has not been seen for some time. Based on previous years, typically W/V returns to the ledge in February. Considering that W/V is eighteen years old could this be the year W/V is displaced? Unfortunately, positive identification of bands has been a challenge. To veteran falcon watchers, this conflict looked to be 85 A/K versus the resident W/V. Keep watching Falcon Cam and see if an opportunity for band identification occurs! If a band is positively identified, please send ID information to ra-eplearningcenter@pa.gov.

02/11 15.12 I had the preview turned on almost all the time. I found no one.

Since the morning it has warmed up almost all the snow has disappeared.
