:15heartbeat: Feed in progress. Do not see 85, I'm having a terrible time catching him here today and though I know he's been here and is okay, I just enjoy seeing him. And the feed is over.

:15heartbeat: Well he was here and I missed him again. Must have brought in food as Niecey is feeding again. Can see him standing on the ledge in the cam 3 still. I could hear them from the tab I have up, but am having trouble today with getting the cams right away d/t COD.

:15heartbeat: Looks as if I will not have luck catching 85 here again today. But know he has been here. Saw on FB he got closer to the chicks to look at them earlier this morning, but Niecey fussed at him and he left. Wish she would stop that, so he can get in their to help with the chicks and not be afraid. Concerned if he is not allowed to do so, he won't this season and may not in future seasons. Niecey is atop the front wall facing the chicks down in the nest.

:15heartbeat: Can no longer see Niecey on any of the cams, but don't know if she is gone or out there on the stick preening. Chicks are in a huddle sleeping.

:1val: It's been quite awhile now, but I know the chicks had a feed as I left the tab up, but couldn't check in at the time and I could tell they were being fed from the sound the chicks were making. Niecey is atop the front shield again facing away from the chicks who are currently in a fidgety cuddle. And Niecey just came down to join them.

Not sure if there has been a feeding yet today. It was raining when I got up, and has been steady since then. Right now it is POURING and the wind has really picked up. Niecey is now brooding.

:15heartbeat: A rainy day. Niecey has them shielded. Do not see 85 on cam currently. From Falcon Wire:

5/4/2021 :: Getting Ready for Watch and Rescue
The loss of the fourth hatchling emphasizes the fact that the mortality rate for young falcons is 60 percent. Approximately six out of every 10 falcons hatched will die in the first year. Unfortunately, Falcon Cam followers witnessed this firsthand this year. But the three remaining young hatchlings will grow up fast, and our Watch and Rescue program will be ready to help them out!

The peregrine falcon nest site located on the Rachel Carson State Office Building boasts a long history of a success in terms of productivity*. Since 2000, this site has seen 93 eggs laid with 78 successfully hatching. A key component of this success is the Falcon Watch and Rescue program! Due to the efforts of this primarily volunteer organization, fledglings are often rescued when they get themselves in difficult situations. Urban nest sites feature a lot of human activity that are a threat to survival. These threats include traffic, trains, electric wires, tall buildings, and more. Watch and Rescue can often reduce these dangers, emphasizing the great service these volunteers provide on an annual basis. If you are interested in this unique volunteer opportunity, please contact ra-eplearningcenter@pa.gov.

* Productivity is defined as the total number of young fledged or raised to the age of fledging in a defined population or area.

:loveheart2: Chicks are in a pile and Niecey is atop the front shield facing away from them. Another unlucky day of not catching 59 home for me.

:flirty: Feed in progress by Niecey. Left tab up and heard Niecey fussing, but by the time I was able to get in and get rid of the COD, if 85 was here he was already gone. All got bites including Niecey. Nothing left. Then Niecey left or at least from cam view. Maybe some talons gripping the top of the back wall.

Any guess's to the sex of these guys? I'd say at least one female. Other two can't say yet. They keep getting fed the way they are we should be able to tell soon. :eggthumb:
