I don't know, I don't feel great about them. Just saw one chick couldn't keep his head up and plopped over. I think they are overheated and being bitten by mites. Yesterday, they were in the sun a good bit in the morning, and it appeared that there was an intruder the way the babies were left unshaded. Well I actually saw the dad making alarm calls.

During the last 2 days, it wasn't terribly hot in the nest, and I see they feel better. Think they've got it rough, watch the Richmond nest. The babies are openly panting, so's Mom. They've gotten a break the last 2 days as well.

hopefully they band here. they may have some mites bothering them.
But adults doing a great job.

will pu t cam up today to have an eye out.

I noticed before that there were a lot of insects

very well fed this morning so far. I will watch for where poop shots go and color of them. you do not want dark poop shots or you do not want them pooping on each other.

Dinner today is a red-winged blackbird. I sure hope that the same one who missed out on the earlier meal wasn't the one who missed out on this one.

It's OK--he showed up for this feed and there's plenty for everybody. :clapegg:

yes, I watched and they did no t have a PS while I was watching. I watch for these things, after having things go wrong at our sites. Gord told us what to watch for.

male always seems to do a feed also , if needed. good team. He is showing her the ropes
