Those crows are very brazen aren't they?Tthey are only a third the eagles size if that but it doesn't bother them at all :laugh

That was an interesting video, beans. Surprised the eagles didn't chase the crow off that nearby branch. Many times I've seen (and I'm sure you have, too) a small bird repeatedly hitting a large bird in flight.

Yes, they do, Pat --- and now they are preparing for their fledge:

Thank you -- here's another video with parent stopping by

Image

Video: A Brief Visit at White Rock

A parent (Mom?) seems to inspect the nest for leftover food. The parent had been sitting on the branch for at least ten minutes before hopping into the nest. I don't think any food was delivered.

Recorded at 11:20 AM local time

1st egg: 3/13
2nd egg: 3/16
1st hatch: 4/20
2nd hatch: 4/21

2nd egg: 3/16
1st hatch: 4/20

Charlie certainly did a fine job of navigating himself and his big wings back down into the nest. :thumbegg:

Charlie soars over the water. Is that him landing in a distant tree? The parents are close by, and you'll get a glimpse of at least one of them.

2nd egg: 3/16
1st hatch: 4/20
