Bird Cams Around the World

Well ... I've noticed some black streaks on one of the adults heads ... which would indicate a youngster.

I don't think we're going to see eggs here this year.

Someone is there now laying in the bowl. I can't get the live stream to work.

I'm pretty sure there's been a mate switch ... or something. Still no eggs. 2:

After I posted ... I checked in again and there were 2 there. I just don't know... can't figure it out. I emailed Chuck - we'll see if I get an answer.

I just don't know Kitten ... I'm really gonna miss not having eaglets here. I think it's getting way later for them though. Maybe a little more time.

I keep seeing visits ... but I've only seen one adult the last few times. No one ever answered my email. :(

I'm not sure what's going on at this nest I just saw a coondle on the limb a few minuets ago.Is it to late to have eggs here?Sorry no picture,but the still cam is stuck on the 8th

yes ... looks like the live cam is down now. I think the latest I've seen them lay here is around the 24th of March ... so I don't think it's looking good for eggs.

Two adults paying a visit .. have caught them there in quite a few days.

Just checked here and no activity. Surprising that such a nice nest is not getting used by SOMEONE.

Eaglecam Mystery: In the continuing effort to determine the breeding status of the Lake Washington bald eagles monitored by WDFW WildWatchcams and millions of on-line viewers, WDFW Wildlife Biologist Chris Anderson sent this cam image on April 19, 10:00AM—two adult bald eagles at the nest site with no eggs in the nest. Possibilities are many, but the most likely theory, according to Anderson and based on observations of active nest building earlier in the year, is that one of the pair may have died and a new mate has been selected too late in the year to commence egg laying. Another alternative could be that the pair had selected to use an alternative nest site—but that would mean this female in the photo should be setting and would be flying about as implied by the photo. Perhaps the Lake Washington pair will continue to rest and feed at the nest site into the summer since such real-estate, even for eagles, is a valuable commodity.

Well, Patti, you sensed there had been a mate change here and I see that the experts were thinking the same thing. It's nice to see them hanging out here and we'll just have to hope they are successful next season.

My most recent analysis ...

At first I thought perhaps the male was replaced ... looking through my pics from this week I'm thinking maybe the female was replaced. It's just impossible to tell. They were always so hard to tell apart. Maybe the weather just messed them up. Or they just decided they needed a year off.

From just a few minutes ago ... being quite frisky with each other.

Well a while back I posted that lablover had said she had seen 3 and sometimes 4 Eagles around and she was really worried that the original pair got evictedand thought she saw a couple fights but she didn't know how to take videos til it was all said and done I just didn't see anything but I hate to say sometimes I would forget about the nest for a few days at a time
