Good luck with that...I'm the only one that touches this computer and its still a mess!!!

On my New year's "To-do" list....not to mention clearing out my 2011 pics to make room for 2012. In the past I've put them all on a CD...but, I think this time, I will just delete. They are all on here anyway!!!

This is the view from the live cam @ Carolina Raptor Center. Very special place, Susan! I still think of the pics you posted last Fall.

From the blog,
Savannah and Derek’s Nest
Over the past few years, the nest in the Eagle Aviary at Carolina Raptor Center has moved around a bit as the eagles found their best spot for laying eggs. The current nest box is at two-story affair, the 6 1/2 ft square lower box is filled with large rocks to facilitate drainage. The 5 1/2 ft upper box is screened with mesh — also for drainage purposes. It is filled with mulch. Sticks from last year’s nest remain in the box, old sub-par sticks were removed, a layer of mulch was added and additional materials were provided so that the pair can nest build on their own this year.
The nest differs from that of eagles in the wild in that it is on the ground instead of in a large tree. That is necessary because of the injuries of the paired eagle couple. In the aviary, the eggs are safe from predators, and other eagles do not often approach the pair as they incubate and raise young.

And here they are in all their Glory...Savannah and Derek...Carolina Raptor Center...

I do hope they have the ability to zoom in....

Prior to this, they both ate dinner...One at a time, each went to the far side where I guess there is either a feed shoot or who knows what...but, they each came back with a morsel!!!

Susan, does this bring back memories for you?... :girlluv:

They don't seem to be bothered at all by being on the ground. .

Carolina Raptor Center: Thanks for the screenshots and video, Mick & SGB. The angle threw me off, so I went back to look at my photographs, and the camera is not where I thought it was. Agreed, that a zoom would be nice. :girlluv:

Given that's it's now a streaming cam and not just a refresh ... I would think it would have zoom capabilities! They're probably just waiting until they actually lay eggs.

Here we go .......

Quote:
Welcome to the Wolf River Eagles nest. Located on the banks of the Wolf River in Wisconsin, these bald eagles have built a nest in a large white pine tree. The nest is not viewable from any roadway and rests on private property.
Our camera is a pan/tilt/zoom camera with infrared lighting. We do have a fixed camera, that we will use in the event of a main camera failure. The audio will be enabled in a short time, to hear the sounds of the eagles in the wild and of course their ever vocal young.
We are on watch to witness the birds returning to their mating ground.
Help us watch for them.
