Great pictures - thanks, Ploughboy!

I just watched a feeding and was quite sure there were two, but I didn't see them as clearly as you did.

Nice slideshow - thanks, Ploughboy! There was one time that it looked as if she might be reaching behind the two chicks I could see, but I couldn't really tell.

Based on more than a little guesswork, today may be day 35 for the third egg, so I wouldn't be surprised if it hatched today.

Dad just arrived with lunch (at least I think he had a fish)

Hmm - now where did he go?

I'm seeing two active little chicks - looking taller than yesterday!

He's back again, and it looks as if there's something on his talon.

Actually, I think it was Mom who took the fish for a quick spin while Dad stood guard.

Dad's left now, and I think Mom is feeding, though it's not a good angle to see quite what she's doing.

I've been looking for any sign of a third little head, and haven't seen one. The two chicks I am seeing are taking turns politely as they wait for food - which bodes well for a third chick if there is one in the next day or two.

Ploughboy, another great video :loveshow:, I watched it several times, but don't see a third chick, or egg... I couldn't watch the cam until very late today, so I don't know what has happened first hand. I'm sure, as always...time will tell! Keep the videos coming :openrose: I'll be snowed in tomorrow and watching.

Judy, Thanks!!! another great play by play.... Do you think the female is taking the fish with her on her "quick spin" to make sure it's in safe talons? Nice the male waits for her to return..

BTW, I couldn't see a third chick, but, I didn't have much cam view time until very late today. Going on Ploughboy's video....if/when there is a third...he'll get it!!!

I'm way late with this, but it does include pics....
It's copied from the Maine forum, which is the one I happened to be in as it was happening.

I saw several feedings today, Jazzel - and have a bunch more pics that look quite similar to these  - and I didn't see a third chick. I also didn't really notice if she seemed to be turning an egg - though it is hard to tell as I've seen Moms tumble little chicks over to tuck them into position. The first egg hatched at 38 days and the second at 37 days - and tomorrow would be 36 days for the third, so maybe....

And actually, given that there may not be a lot of fish around, I'm perfectly happy if there are only two.

4:47 pm
Mom just got up for a stretch, and the two chicks were a bit boisterous. I think they think it's time for another snack - and unfortunately Dad hasn't brought in the evening meal yet.

Mom is back to brooding now, but seems to be keeping an eye out so perhaps Dad is nearby.

Added:

Dad just arrived with a nice big fish! :D
The chicks are waiting - not exactly patiently - while she prepares it - and I think she's starting to feed them.

Edited to add pics:
Mom's big stretch - look at the little ones watching her!

Finally - dinner!

Thanks, Ploughboy - I was wondering if it even existed, as I'd only seen it once, briefly. :)

9:50 am
Both adults on the nest. Cam is buffering a lot so it's hard to tell if there's a feeding, but it looks as if there might be. I've seen both chicks, so they made it OK through the chilly night. :D
