A chat comment on hellgate nest chat brought me to this cam to see all the neat toys the parents are bringing their kids. Flipflop and a kite apparently. The kids will be spoiled rotten lol

Reenie there were 3 eggs but only one hatch the other 2 were nonviable

REENIE, the egg hatched 5/27. The average age to fledge is 55 days, this nestling should fledge around July 21.

If you watch the cam you should be seeing flapping starting now.

THANKS JAZZEL26! I HAVEN'T SEEN ANY FLAPPING YET, I'D BE AFRAID WITH THE WIND, THE POOR THING WOULD LIFT RIGHT OFF THE NEST! LOL! SAW ONE OF THE ADULTS SPREAD IT'S WINGS AND THE WIND TOOK THEM OFF BACKWARDS. WILL KEEP WATCHING WHEN I CAN :-)

OH THIS BABY OSPREY IS SO BEAUTIFUL! I SEE TODAY IT HAS BLING ON ONE LEG :-)

JUST SAW IT FLAPPING SOME AND NOW STANDING BY MOMMY AND INSTEAD OF HEAD BOBBING LIKE A FALCON, IT KINDA SWAYS IT'S HEAD SIDE TO SIDE. NEVER KNEW THAT BEFORE. LOVE THIS NEST! WISH I COULD POST PICS, BUT I CAN'T FROM HERE :-(
