Look who's back up
An owl is roosting in the box these days. The eggs are old and are from a previous nesting attempt.

If these are old eggs, why are they still there (the eggs)? Doesn't anyone clean the box out?

Hello :D I found this place from another site at which I post and want to thank people for the great pics that are posted. I am also watching the VA BNOW nest and hoping for a good outcome for the babies.

Thanks!!

From what I have heard from Pete at Starr Ranch and in reading, I think it is to our benefit that we have a computer screen between us and the nests  My understanding is that infertile eggs, at least, don't "explode " like the fertile ones. I have to tip my hat to those who clean out those nestboxes at the end of the season. If you have read "Wesley the Owl," the descripton is not for the weak of stomach.

hi! I am afraid that the beautiful pic of the BOT girls may be the last view for awhile. They posted that they were not going to stream until there is action, but I was able to get a pic just after their post. Now I can't raise it and I miss the girls :(

On another note, VAOWLS at about 1515 nest time:--oops, can I post from my files? I have a cute pic of the fluffballs.
