Hi seahorse and welcome. There can never be too many owl lovers here.

I had the 2 Beefe cams up at the same time and there was a ton of nest building last night. When the Little Owl wanted to get out, she was stimied by the pigeons. There is a vid over there of a confrontation between the owl and another bird--can't remember if it was with the pigeon. Eventually any coexistance wll come to an end--I can't imaging baby pigeons and baby owlets will share the place...

Hey all, enjoying the pics posted. I need some help - cant get the Cobb Island cams to come up on my laptop, I get a message saying I need to download ActiveX Avis Camera Control. Last time when I set that site on my other computer, it gave a link so I could safely download I thought. Now Im at a loss as to what version, etc to download. Anyone have any links to a good free Active X download so I can see the Cobb beauties? You can send me an email if you can help. THANKS AGAIN BCAW FOR ALL YOU DO! :bonnet:

LeeLee, Active x is free. I'll try and get you a link. I have found that those cams work much better on Firefox. For years they were crashing on IE until I switched. But I think you still need Active x.

:bonnet: Hey all, just checked on the Swiss owl site. Do we have a hatch today? Mom is fussing beneath her front alot like theres a pip or a hatch. The view this year seems farther away, or my old eyes just cant see too good anymore. Anyone else maybe see a hatch? If its a false alarm, you can remove this comment, sorry. She sure has been fussing there though.

:egghatch: :egghatch: Yippee! Thanks for the confirmation, I was hoping my eyes weren't deceiving me, lol Cant wait to see how many she ends up with. The owlets really get comical when they can hop up to the ledge in front of the camera. Lots of opportunities for scaps! and then theres always the wingersizing shots! The clutch is also smaller than last year too, which is a good thing. :eastergirl:

the barn owlets here http://www.free-live.org/web/cams/cam_s ... erli_s.php were hatched may 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 8th which makes them...

11 days old
10 days old
8 days old

there may have been 1 or 2 more hatches, but I can't be sure
