You guys Rock!! Whenever I watch, there is nothing going on, but admittedly, I only watch for about 10 min at a time. Boy, I wish this nest streamed. I look forward to checking your posts. And yes, I hope that the rest do not hatch. There was soooo much sadness at Starr with peole asking why the littl'uns couldn't pulled and rehabbed. But Nature will take care so that strongest survive.

Hey obxbarb when the owls do it as you put it,this is a way to show their bond for each other. And as far as I can tell we now have seven owlets unless one of the owlets is covering one of the eggs.I'm glad to see you came back to visit here again :waveht:

Thanks for letting me know Pearl. I guess I need to do a little more reading on Barn Owl behavior. I had no idea this might not be mating. Barn Owls always seem more affectionate than other birds already, but I thought that pose meant mating. There was another barn owl cam a few years ago, or maybe its Texas, where they really spent time making eyes at each other.

They were my favorite pair...I keep checking, just in case the cam comes back..but no luck...

Texas is actually working tonight...The Cornell blog has named the male, Jack, and the Female, Wing (she has a droopy right wing...I guess an old injury..)

She really was beggin' for a little "lovin"....it didn't quite happen....guess Jack just wasn't in the mood...
