I wish I had some suggestions for you...if you have recently installed IE security update, kb978207, I would uninstall it...(can't guarantee that will fix your problem)...but after I installed it, I could no longer view several webcams, not to mention other things it did to my IE...

You can also try this:

Copy and paste this URL in a free standing windows media player : (without the beginning dashes--had to put those in to keep it from turning in to a link~)

===http://82.68.119.6/media/getimage.php?un=owlcam08&pw=peek08&card=1&camera=3&rand=

It worked for me, hopefully, it will work for you...

Hello everyone, thanks Beth and Kittenface for the heads up. Just getting around to getting back on the forum since the new year. For the red tail lovers out there, the Raptor Cam in Portland, Oregon came on line last week, and this morning I caught the parents at the nest arranging sticks in the nest. :yip You can see them early morning, while the sun is just coming up, or probably early evening before the sun goes down, giving their shout outs to the other birds that they are once again claiming this nest site as theirs. The cam is live stream, and sometimes they zoom in when feeding the babies, etc. It is also in COLOR! :o Last year a chick was born on tax day, April 15th so it is still early, but they are back! Great to read what has been going on in everyone's comments, glad to be back. :grin: p.s. here's a link http://www.kgw.com/community/blogs/raptor-cam

I forgot...for the eagle lovers out there, the DOI's National Conservation Training Center's Eagle Cam in Shepardstown, WV has been online, and the parents are eating in the nest, egg laying to come soon :grin:
There are two cams, one delay, and one live stream, you just clik on which you want. It has SOUND! also, so the live feed is good. At the top of the screen, you see a building, and sometimes people walking by. This is the check in building, but it is actually hundreds of yards away from the nest, the camera makes it look close. It will time out after 10 minutes if you dont clik to continue. The sound is great once the chicks come :yip Here is the link: http://outdoorchannel.com/eaglecam/ ;)

Eaglecam looks great--I bookmarked it.

Re the Islay nest--I could get a pic when I put the url into the url box, but I think it is just a scap. i couldn't get the media player to play. :(

Is this a live streaming nest or a refreshing cam? At least I could get the pic. I think I need to get my new computer up and running...

Edit--I did get a new pic up in realplayer. The timestamp was different tha the first one. I couldn't get it to play when I clicked the "play" button. However I can refresh it and get a new pic.

I guess I need to know if it is streaming. Thanks for the help. At least I an get a current pic now :sfclap:

Its not streaming...but probably runs at 2-3 fps...I found that it doesn't always refresh itself in media player...sometimes it just stops and I have to do a manual refresh...glad you're at least able to see it now...you could also try entering the url in an empty window in your browser and then just refresh it manually...

Hi all. Sorry but the Raptor Cam link I gave you was to the BLOG, which has a recorded feed. Here is the livestream link:
www.kgw.com/home/related/KGW-Audubon-Raptor-Cam.html
Sorry for the mix up :oops: Enjoy the site, these red tails are gorgeous and the babies are SOO precious and playful you will absolutely fall in love with red tails. The chicks look like little white cottonballs when they're born. Enjoy!
