Will try and post pictures, but Meadow trying to climb back up but too much unstable nesting sticks in way

April 5
Meadow stretched and fell below. Is in view on log below. Boots are on ground , watching and will do appropriate thing, if necessary. Too bad chatters have come in and are so rude. We had a nice chat and great mods, wish others would just chill and go elsewhere
I have some photos, just to find time

meadow has been rescued and taken to rehab to be checked out. then it will be decided what next step is. thank you EC and raptor resource cnetre

Meadow was transported at centre where he will put in a flight pen and get release ready
We will miss him, but he could not be left on ground, because of all the predators in area.

april 8
what a last few days, since Meadow was blown off , then fell off tree sideways, while walking on limb of tree. The night before , both adults slept with him/her on branch.

He will not return. He has to get stronger and is eating solids again now.

I will post reports as I know them.

I always say , there is a reason fo r everything. As it turns out, no broken bones but very emaciated and dehydrated. He had not eaten since blown off. I do believe the adults would have fed him that day. I think they were trying to lure him to nest. He was just in mites and lice etc. Some have better immune systems to help them stay strong. I think Meadow had a weakened immune system. some of us noticed a day and half before he was blown off, that he was not as Rab and sneak an d then eat , eat , eat eat. He seemed more submissive and when meadow had the chance to eat , was not taking it. He did eat, but not like before.
So they drew blood and we shall see what it tells them. We will also fine out if male or female.
God was watching over this nest and intervened .

so . he will get stronger and then go into flight pens with other eagles. this will be good for Meadow.
To return him here , would put Swampy at risk.

update on meadow

Patient 192/Meadow: Update
Meadow’s X-rays and bloodwork have been examined by our Raptor Trauma Clinic staff and bloodwork has been sent to our partners at Winter Park Veterinary Hospital for a second look. Though we have not found any breaks or fractures, Meadow is emaciated and dehydrated. Due to the time needed for the eaglet to return to a healthy weight, combined with Meadow’s age, our staff have determined that Meadow cannot be re-nested. Climbing into the tree to re-nest Meadow would pose a risk to the other eaglet (nicknamed Swampy), resulting in a fall and potential injury.
Meadow will need to stay at the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey until fledging. Good news: Meadow is now eating solid foods again.
Eaglets require intensive care to regain the strength they need to return to the wild. The average cost to rehabilitate a Bald Eagle is over $5,000. Cam will be up as soon as all clean up is done after the storm.
Lots of downed trees but nest tree and cross tree ok. Nest will need some work.
Abby and Blaze have been seen in area

C Ams will be on line soon. The owners of property had a lot of damage. Lots of downed trees etc.
Nest was damaged but our eagles are working on restoring it. =

Cams are up and it seems like Abby is not there. For now a new female , they named Skye. Abby had my heart. Hope she is safe somewhere.

Cams are crystal clear. Blaze is as suave as always. Have to get glimpse of new female

The owls have been relentless. So much damage done to area that owls may have lost their nest. Maybe close to eggs and need nest.
Always had owls here but attacks have been nonstop.
Hopefully they stop soon, with Skye being new young female
