Blaze on the attack. he was knocked off nest and both went ot ground but he is fine and roosted with skye last night.
today so far all looks fine. skye a real stinker. She just nips adn nips

After several attempts at mating, Blaze getting some leg, we had a successful mating early morning. Blazes leg looks better and Skye doing lots of nest work.

Hopefully we will see eggs here, This new young female is quite chippy. She does not share prey and is constantly nips at Blaze. He is such a good male. There have been a few successful matings in sight so hopefully they are mating off nest.
She is young but will make a formidable mate.
Love this site. They are not late with eggs.

we may no t have eggs here as a young female . but he is growing every day. may surprise us yet. Blaze is and excellent male an d would like ot see him with yous this season.

owls have been very fierce this year. I have never seen them thi s aggressive at any site before . it scares Skye away for a few nights

It has been a real trial for our eagles. Skye is young and has taken some real nasty hits by the owls. This causes her to not roost at nest for a few days. Then weather was nasty for a few days.
They both roosted there last night and Blaze was hit twice. Skye remained on her roost

So we will see what tonight brings.
If no eggs this year, they have to maintain a presence or the owls will take over ( imo) So my fingers are crossed.

It appears no eggs this year but Skye a young female and they continue to come to nest. Just love Blaze, his sticks and the love of his nest. A good provider also.
