:7val: Hickory fledged earlier today at 12:01!! :7val:

From video, Hickory seemed to have fledge on it's mind, but took a small tumble from the branches and went downward, then as it went along was able to gain some height, but went completely out of view from the cow cam toward the right in the distance! Having difficulties getting all their posts on FB, but know they will be looking to see where Hickory ended up and post such if possible. I thought Mossy (who was showing excitement and confusion) was going to fledge right behind Hickory for a moment there. :teehee:

At about 6:00 pm, Mossy received a nice fish on the nest! This is the first delivery since the fledge that I can tell scanning the DVR.

As night falls at about 8:30, Mossy seems to be enjoying time on the nest alone ... spread eagle!

Hickory was seen in a fly by EC earlier today going left to right behind the nest tree! They have a video of it on their FB. Recent message on their FB:

Eagle Country
5 hrs ·
At last! For the past week, Hickory's increasingly boisterous wingercizes have kept us all on the edge of our seats! There have been several close calls, but today was the real deal! While branching out to a new area of the nest tree, s/he lost their footing and fell out but not down! Hickory made an epic recovery and flew off into the distance! Since then s/he has been off galavanting, and has even done a fly by! Stay tuned as we watch to see where Hickory lands in this next part of the adventure!

At 10:53 pm, Mossy is lying on the nest asleep with head tucked. I don't know where the parents or Hickory are tonight, but the cow cam is aimed to the left of the nest tree and I did see an eagle before dark in one of those trees to the left, but unsure if it was Hickory or a parent d/t a branch blocking the head somewhat. It does make you wonder if it is Hickory ...

:1val: That was Hickory spending the night on the tree to the left of the nest tree. She flew from it earlier. Hickory has flown about the area and on the DVR can be seen on the limb pile near the base of the nest tree and on the lowest branch of the tree to the left of the nest tree from which she flew off screen toward the right, the last I saw of her.

:1val: Can still see on the DVR Hickory making it back to the nest at 3:38 this afternoon. Seemed to be hungry! Victoria and Nicholas were on the far snag for the night the last time I was still able to see and Hickory and Mossy are on the nest. Also interesting to watch is starting at about 4:39 when a fish is brought to the nest, their eventual tug of war and stealing it from one another. :teehee:

:1val: Whichever parent was on the near snag (probably Nicholas) as darkness fell, flew to the far snag and probably it is Victoria who was on the tree between the snags after dark, but I've lost track of her. Hickory and Mossy are home, one lying on the nest and the other out on a limb. Both appear to be asleep.

:1val: Mossy is alone on the nest. I saw 1 parent on the near snag, but they flew toward the right and unsure where they landed, but possibly the right tree as I heard reciprocating vocals and there was an eagle in that tree earlier and possibly it was Victoria. Unsure where Hickory is.

SWINWK, I saw that Hickory fledged on May 1 and noted the calendar. I have not been receiving any notifications of posts made so I did not get this.
I am trying to figure out what the problem is and how to resolve. :girlcrazy: :sum6:

:1val: I'm not sure I understand gigi ... are you saying you receive notification when we post? Mossy is on the nest and I almost missed Hickory who blends in with the tree very well. She is up high on the right side of the nest tree. Right after dark, I saw Victoria and Nicholas on the far snag.

:dancingegg: Mossy fledged this morning at 7:07!! Went to the near snag for a bit, then flew to the right off screen!! From their FB:

Mossy fledged! At sunrise this morning, Mossy made his/her big move! It was truly a stunning sight! S/he took off and then landed on a snag across from the nest. Later, Mo joined up with Hickory at Dandy and Spur's old spot, and they had a time together! Keep watching along with us as this next part of the story unfolds!

:1val: Saw one of them hanging upside down too far out on one of the branches unable to support it's weight, eventually dropped off and flew out, but don't have time to find out if Mossy or Hickory for now.

Yes, I have signed up to receive notifications for the forums and topics I follow. For some reason I stopped receiving them, but luckily was able to get the notifications started up again.
I am not sure what. I did, but I am back in business! :girlcrazy:

:eggthumb: Oh, I didn't realize you could that, I'm not very up on things such as that gigi. Romy and Jules are both on the nest ... still don't know who was upside down, maybe by tonight. :teehee:

:1val: It was Mossy who landed upside down earlier today, so to speak! :teehee: I am unsure where Victoria and Nicholas are tonight. Mossy is on the nest and Hickory is on a right branch above the nest.

You sure can! Look at the header on the left side. There is a place to click to subscribe topic or subscribe forum. I usually subscribe forum since that selection carries forward and includes all topics that fall under it. Then you receive an email each time there is a new post.
