:15heartbeat: Conner was at Captiva on Monday:

Quick update from yesterday survey:
Eagles- One of the main branches that held the eagle’s nest broke off. That branch is also where the overhead PTZ camera was. Not much left of the nest. We are getting a plan together to build them a new nest. All other eagle cam gear (other than overhead ptz) seems to be fine and still in place.
Osprey- The new nest box is super sturdy and hardly has any scratches on it. The PTZ seems to be fine, but the side view camera was submerged and filled with mud/water. We are working on a plan to put in a new pole and nest.
Lena was seen & heard. She is still very loud and vocal. A few other ospreys were around the area, but hard to ID. Connie & Clive was spotted flying overhead.
Lots of work ahead. Lots of planning. Will make an update video on YouTube in the next day or two.

:mooncat: Here's the video from Conner with "Window to Wildlife" on the Captiva osprey and eagle nests. Apparently Connie and Clive are currently building a nest in another tree nearby, but Conner is still going to build them a nest in the old nest tree this season, but a little lower down. He believes they will use the nest he builds and I will certainly be curious to watch this unfold. I fully expected them to start a new nest and I am not as confident as he must be they will use his over the one they are currently constructing, but have to admit...I hope they go with Conner's, oh to be young again...

:mooncat: Here's the 2 day time lapse of Conner and Nick building the new Captiva Eagle Nest:

"2-day timelapse rebuild of the Captiva Eagle's Nest after Hurricane Ian destroyed the nest & the island. About 10 days after the nest was built the eagles have been seen hanging out in their new home!"

:5val: :newegg: :newegg: For Connie and Clive at Captiva! They came back online today and the eggs can be seen on the DVR at 1:25. Unfortunately the live view is down and only getting a black screen with COD for now, but you can go back on the DVR to see.

Link for Captiva Eagle Nest of Connie and Clive:

Connie and Clive left the nest they built on another tree since Hurricane Ian and went with the manmade one built for them in their old nest tree! I was stunned...

:loveheart: YW, gigi! The cam is working again and they have IR and the nest looks great! Found a couple of messages from their chat that are pertinent:

Oh well I could not copy and paste the messages to here without getting the general error text or whatever, I even erased them and typed up myself on my keyboard using letters, punctuation that I always post with and still got the error message. Has been happening a lot lately and very frustrating and time consuming.

So 2 messages from 2 sources at site in general say: More cams will be livestreamed here when internet improves and Comcast is working on internet connection and there will be downtime and buffering.

:xmastree: Cam buffering a lot today. Mod reports Comcast to do an overnight upgrade, but not sure if she meant tonight or another night.
