:loveheart: The cam was down earlier, but up now. Site said Comcast is still working on the internet connection and there will be downtime and buffering at times.

:loveheart2: CE9 hatched under Clive and Connie saw her chick for the 1st time at 12:05 pm and can be seen from the side view cam. I don't believe the chick has eaten yet, but they probably will start feeds in the am. The chick grew progressively stronger throughout the day.

:flirty: No pip in the other egg that I am aware of. The feedings by Connie have at times been a little difficult to watch. She seemed to offer bites when food was no longer in her mouth, she was too far at times, but I believe that has improved as the the day went on, the chick wouldn't always open it's beak, Connie had a little trouble with aim, etc. But it did have 5 feeds offered today and a couple times I saw at least a small crop, so it is getting some bites. The last I heard Clive has not fed the chick, but he is keeping them well supplied in fish!

Hitting the target is always challenging when the bobbleheads are so bobbly! :flirty:

:loveheart: Yes gigi that is true, but I tell you there is some inefficiency here with feeds and it is difficult to watch at times. There was some improvement today from Connie in that she was closer and that always helps with aim. But she continues to offer too big of bites at times and the chick is able to get a part of it when it can grab and hold on and pull backward to break it off, but many times it is not strong enough to pull off a part of it from her beak. It is necessary for it to make multiple attempts to try and get a bite as she holds it in her beak offering it. That has to be tiring for the chick. The last feed had the chick soaked from the top of it's head, across it's face and down onto it's neck and chest from the multiple attempts it tried to get a bite and missed or failed to break off. I have tried to watch the chick for signs it may have a problem. Connie usually finishes the bites it is unable to break off from her beak. I have yet to see the chick go into a food coma as Connie ends the feed by wolfing down over half the remains of the already headless fish, sometimes in 1 gulp as the chick remains standing ready for it's next bite. I do believe it is getting some of the bites from what I can see and it also has at least a small crop at the end.
