You have done a great job documenting the unpredictable goings on here. It will be interesting to tune in next year to see if the birds have sorted things out - or not!

cam just went off line. I had a nice chat and so will update this this weekend with some photos and a write up.
I really enjoyed this cam and it will be back in October. Hopefully there will be a bonded pair. I am glad this cam was here as it became home for me. nice people on chat, which is what I needed.

so I will do my final update this weekend .

:buzzybee: For those who do not do FB, Eagle Country will not go live with cams till a confirmed couple actually takes the nest:

Dear Friends of EC,
Happy fall to all Friends and viewers!
As most of you are aware, Nic and Vic, our resident eagles, did not return to the nest last year. We were all surprised at the turn of events and we miss them with you and simply trust that they are alive and well on their adventures elsewhere.
What did happen last season is that there were many visiting eagles as well as some territorial disputes. After extended and numerous visitations, we even started calling it our “EC Bed and Breakfast Season!” However, after several weeks, it became clear that there would not be a settled pair.
At this point, due to that fact and other extenuating circumstances, we have made the decision to pause our viewing season until we have confirmation of an established couple taking over the nest.
If or when we have that confirmation, we will go live and bring you the good news! Thanks for your patience and understanding!

:buzzybee: Eagle Country to go live, so assume they have an established pair. Wouldn't it be wonderful if Nicholas and Victoria made a comeback!!

:buzzybee: Eagle country is live without a confirmed eagle pair which is directly opposite of what they said on 9/15/21 in a post above. I did not see any eagles this view. Here is their reply when someone asked if they had an eagle pair earlier today:

Eagle Country
Great question! We currently (at the start of 2021-2022 season) do not have a confirmed pair. We’re watching with you to see what may happen!

Good News: The official names of the eagles are Abby and Blaze, short for Blazer! We'll be posting how to identify soon!

:harvest: They were roosting side by side, but at about 10:27 pm Abby flew to the nest and laid down. He woke up, but remains perched.

Our Abby was attacked by owl 2 nights now. Hopefully it stops. She has a slight eye injury so could be from when knocked off branch first time.

Sorry, I have little viewing time

Things are progressing nicely. Blazes eye is healing, nest is being built up and now seeing Abby eating fish at nest. Assuming from Blaze as he is often right behind her.

Hopefully I can do more in 2021
