it has been very sporadic here, now. Abby seems to have no interest in nest.

fish man has been a constant since he appeared

I have gone back and updated a lot with photos and notes. It is a very interesting nest this year. maybe we may not have a pair. but we are learning a lot. fingers still crossed

Abby was a no show today. the young adult was in twice briefly but it was fish guy in all day, and he appeared to be looking fo r Abby.

it is very good to watch for learning. so many different things that we are learning here. :1snowflake2:

still hopeful but if no eggs , it is still nice to see. I can only fill in when I can. so I went back last night and did my best

yesterday feb12,
we had a visit form Abby and a visit from a male with dirtier tail. maybe mossman. At this point it is really hard to tell.
Then a beautiful young eagle spent a lot of day at nest and then was chased off but came back to remote tree after 6pm and then flew high up in nest tree and spent th e night. It was chased off this morning , Feb13.

FEb 13

We have a pair here today. Abby for sure and a male . He comes back and forth . but Abby has not been to nest yet. A flash storm, and Abby stayed on right side side of tree , for shelter. male had flown off . Male came back after storm and at 1:16pm , he has left again.
I guess time will tell.

should have been a romantic day but again 2 males. day started out quiet but later in day, 2 males, that have been here separately, were on and off, chasing . Abby was at nest

then one male attacked th e nest. no one touched at that time.
hope this stops soon.

other male on nest, a bi t pushy, but hormones are going and he is full tilt. pushes Abby to branch
Image

abby stays on branch th e whole time the flying on and off is going on

he goes to sit with Abby and then I do not know if he attempted mating or just fell off. then flew away.

I will be adding photos, but Abby spent night again and she brought in fresh moss this morning. I think more sticks need to be added since buzzards were here but , I am just thinking these two are acting like an egg is close. So we will see. If so , hope this is a permanent male . hate to say that out loud an d jinx them,

feb 20

no shows by our pair but this young adult male showed up for a minute just after 8:30 AM . He does have white on leg but do not think same one as on Feb14. Who really knows here. the eagles :1snowmancarrot:

Image
Image
then jsu t before 7pm 3 eagles went towards remote tree
feb20- nothing much here yesterday till after 7pm

earlier
Image

then we had not one but 3 eagles fly towards nest tree. so still 2 adult males around., Maybe more. I am thinking, Abby landed first and then eventually another landed beside her.
Image
one to nest and is attacked
Image

see video this shows 3 heading to remote tree

:vid:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W30E52BbPHw

then later another eagle flew to remote tree and landed a bit lower and to right. It flew off and in a bit another adult flew off remote tree. I think male. the male from earlier today landed in nest tree and it was not long before it was attacked. no one hurt, but one got hung up in tree at lower end and eventually got free and flew off. this is all shown in video. I recorded al four cams and it starts with cow cam cam bottom right. I tried to slow motion after but :%:

see vidoe. watch to the end

Those last pictures fervent are of male. Last one is Shep. We have had moss an and shep, both with foot injuries, spending nights with Abby and then resting foot at others. Moss an, injury is left foot and Shep right foot.

Great pictures. :1snowflake2: Glad to see someone else watching . Learning so much here but have not had time to post this week
