:15heartbeat: Here is the expanded report on what I placed above (I will try to add any videos and photos here as I find them):

Just a word to let you know that Pa Berry, Mom and B16 all made it through yesterday's severe afternoon storm that swept through the Berry campus. The nest, nest tree, their favorite perch tree and the pole the app cam is attached to are all intact. However many trees are down near these and that includes the "old app cam tree". BEP a ground photographer from the beginning here said this: ""Not sure when cam be up. They are trying to figure out where power comes from . If it looped thru approach tree like it used to it may be a problem." Berry started spring break today and am unsure if the staff that handles the cams will be here the coming week. Berry's power came back up last evening, but the cams did not come up. They will do everything possible to get them up when they can. Really, really hope they can get the cams back up this season. If not, we will still have ground reports, photos and videos. They are on alert for the possibility more trees may fall as the ground was already very saturated from all the rains they received prior to this event.

:flirty: A great day for all. After reporting for 2/28 that B16 doesn't walk about the nest much on 3/1 B started walking about the nest more and today it was noticeable. Also, full mantles sometimes when food arrives now instead of partial. B lost some more fluff while the cams were down and looks blacker on the head and topside. Tonight we have Pa spending the night on the left rear, branch with Mom on the left branch and B on the nest. Last week when Pa stayed he flew out in the middle of the night.

:loveheart2: Pa Berry did spend the entire night last night on the left rear, branch and flew out sometime about 6:30 this morning. A day of eating and sleeping and occasionally walking about the nest for B16. B did a "horaltic pose" for a few short minutes today, the 1st time I have seen B do this. Still trying to grab meals when they come in on occasion and self feed attempts at times. Becoming more aware of outside the nest as it was vocal when when seeing Mom flying in once today. Pa is not here tonight, but Mom is sleeping with her head tucked on the left branch and B is asleep on the nest.

:loveheart: This morning there was an intruder eagle in the area that Mom was keeping an eye on. After awhile it flew up onto one of the rear trees. Mom continued to keep watch and protest and finally when she could take no more she flew out toward the rear where it was and 4 seconds after her departure you could see the intruder swoop down and away, Pa was not in the area. B16 did finally self feed from a fish Pa brought in after quite some time spent working on it to open. B stood on top of it and pulled and pulled before getting that 1st bite. Mom is sleeping on the LB and B is on the nest.

:flirty: Pa brought in a headless fish that B took and after awhile made great strides with self feeding today. He brought in a few other fish and at least part of a coot today. B has not been up on the rails yet which is a milestone for week 7. It's raining now and B got up for a PS, then flapped it's wings several times to rid the rain and so far remains standing with Mom semi-crouched on the nest nearby. Just checked back and B has decided to crouch near Mom.

:flirty: Both Mom and B are currently sleeping with their heads tucked and on the nest. B started the day with the meals coming slowly and did some more self feeding, but Pa was able to get that turned around and brought in a squirrel and part of a coot this afternoon. B still has not stood on the rails as yet.

:loveheart2: B16 turned 7 weeks old at 5:38 this evening. Pa brought in fish and squirrel today. More attempts to self feed with some successful bites by B. Seemed to be stronger on legs today and actually was able to stand on 1 leg and scratch head with the other foot after a brief steadying with 1 wing to the nest floor to briefly catch balance. Still has not stood atop the rails. It started raining a little earlier and B is now standing up on the nest and awake as Mom sleeps with her head tucked nearby. B does not like rain...

:loveheart: B16 had plenty to eat again today. Mom even brought in a fish. B did some hopping and winging, but still has not been on top of the rails. B is currently on the nest with head tucked and sleeping as is Mom on the left branch.

:flirty: B16 finally got on top of the left rails 3 times that I saw today. All were quick and he wing flapped up there, but the 1st time he did look downward and around while up there. Birds and fish and a squirrel were brought in today to feed B. Mom even brought in a gull-like bird instead of the usual coot. Mom and B are currently on the nest sleeping.

:flirty: B16 was on the rails for very short periods today. Both Mom and Pa were in and out. But the biggest news today is B is spending the night alone for the 1st time. Neither Mom nor Pa are on the tree.

:flirty: Mom decided to stay on the nest tree tonight, so she is currently on the left branch with her head tucked sleeping and the same for B except B is lying on the nest. Lots of wingercizing today and hopping about. B struck a couple horaltic poses. And as usual plenty of prey to eat. Another duck was brought in today amongst the bounty. Next milestone will be branching which could come as soon as later this week or early next week or not...

:flirty: Another great day at the nest with plenty for all to eat. Saw B on the left rails and looking downward, more wingercizing and a horaltic pose and rest too of course. Mom and Pa were in and out and Pa spent quite awhile on the left branch just out of view from the nest cam. B is awake and preening right now and Mom is on the left branch in partial view.

:15heartbeat: Today was not a great food day. The rain really hampered everything, but B did get some jumping and wingercizing in. Food, not so much. B attempted to feed on any little tidbit he could find amongst the rails and the fluff of the floor. Late afternoon Pa did bring a live fish in and fed it to B. Mom and B are currently asleep on the nest.

:flirty: Today the weather was much improved, a little windy, but without the rain. All had plenty to eat. Sticks, fluff and prey were brought in throughout the day. B16 even did a little de-furring on a squirrel tail. Mom did fly to the rear to spend the night, so B is currently sleeping on the nest alone.

:flirty: Another great day here with coot, fish and squirrel brought in. Early evening Pa was even allowed to eat at the same time with the family! They probably did have an intruder earlier today from Pa and Mom's reactions (even B was looking upward) and alerts with Pa taking off after it, but he returned later unscathed. Mom is here with B for the overnight.

:egg8: Got to see Pa bring in 2 fish today and one was huge! I was surprised he could carry it in. B is still working on skills, has not branched yet, but that could come later this week or early next. Mom is currently sleeping with her head tucked on the left branch and B is doing the same, but lying on the nest.

:eggthumb: B16 continues to hit milestones. Today it was "step branching". He backed up onto the base of the left branch and had his talons wrapped around a branch for the 1st time and remained perched for just a few short minutes. He also got into a grabbing match over a fish with his Mom. She took it from him and he grabbed it back and this went on back and forth for over a minute or 2. Lots of jumping and wingercizing too. Pa and Mom made multiple short visits trying to one up each other bringing in sticks, but especially fluff and then staying only 1-3 minutes. They also had some longer visits, but the multiple short ones were not the norm. Next milestones for B will be to sleep at night while standing and branching that takes more effort to get to and perch on.

:eggthumb: Another big day for B as he used 1 or 2 wing flaps to get to the lower part of the left branch. Fish was on the menu today and even Mom brought one in. He is starting to hold the rails for vigorous wing flapping at times. He did sleep while standing with his head tucked starting sometime around 4 this morning, but unsure how long he maintained that sleeping position. Currently B is awake and lying on the nest and looking around. Mom is asleep with her head tucked on the left branch.

:egg8:B was catching a lot of air with his wingers and jumpers today. Fish was on the menu again. Mom and B are both currently on the nest on a windy night.
