:eggthumb: B continues to spend the night away from the nest tree. Another day of multiple visits by him with some only lasting a couple minutes or less. He did bring a pinecone to the nest. Pa and Mom were both there today and of course more fish on the menu. Mom brought one in that she actually waited around for B and when he didn't show she went ahead and ate it herself. Later she came with a fluff delivery and B followed her in and mantled the fluff. He was not too pleased...

:eggthumb: Over the last couple of days, B continues to come to the nest several times a day with the exception of this afternoon. I'm wondering if he is starting to fly farther afield as in addition to not seeing him this afternoon, we did not hear him. Usually even if you don't see B you can hear his vocals as he flies about or when he's on one of the trees out of view calling for a parent. But not this afternoon. Mom and Dad are still bringing fish to the nest for him. Today he brought a pine cone still attatched to a small stick. And as usual, he is spending the night elsewhere. Rain has recently started.

:flirty: B was in and out a couple times this morning and he brought in a pinecone with each visit. Both parents in today. This afternoon early Mom brought in a large, long, fish possibly a striped bass. B ate the whole thing. He then spent the rest of the afternoon on the nest or a limb of the nest tree with a big ole crop and did not fly out till early evening. He is spending the night off the nest tree tonight.

:egg8: Will be going back to fill in the gaps for this week and today over the weekend. B did come in earlier this evening to the nest with a pine bough that did not have any needles, but it did have a few pinecones on it that he eventually placed to the right rear, corner of the rails.

:flirty: Saw B come in on Mom's tail early this morning to claim the large fish she brought in. She let him eat quite awhile before taking it from him and eating some of it. Then B took it back and that's how it went back and forth, but in the end, B was able to keep the fish and eat. Mom flew off. Saw B for 2 back-to-back quick visits to the nest that he was quite vocal about prior to dark. Did not see Pa or Mom this time.

:eggthumb: B is still coming in several times a day over the last couple of days. Sometimes to claim a fish Pa or Mom has just brought in and sometimes just drops by. He has a tendency to stay for a long period after a large meal or meals. I think 3 fish were brought in today and he stayed a long time after eating the fish Pa brought in early this afternoon. He did bring in a very small stick to the nest today. He is spending the night elsewhere tonight as usual.

:egg8: Each day is fairly similar to the one before usually and the last couple of days are no exception. B still making multiple visits to the nest and they are almost always when a parent shows up with prey and the other times looking for scraps or calling for Pa and Mom. B brought in 3-4 pinecones today and was in and out frequently at times, some visits only a minute apart. Interestingly, Pa showed up to the nest in the middle of the night last night, then stayed on the right branch before going back to the nest early this morning and flying out.

:egg8: All 3 made appearances on Friday the 19th and Saturday the 20th. Fish were brought in by Pa and Mom for B and I saw a fluff delivery by Mom today that disappointed B as it was not another fish. Cams 1 and 2 were CODing, freezing and going off air constantly on Friday from about 3:30 or before till sometime very late evening. It was impossible to know what was going on during this time. The app cam was down as is usual and remains so.

:15heartbeat: B came to the nest early this morning for a bit and also at 10:18 am for awhile. Neither Pa nor Mom visited the nest that I know of today. B did not return after his last morning visit and was not heard calling out as he normally does in the vicinity. It was eerily quiet. This is a change in all of their normal routines/behaviors of late. Did hear some eagle vocals before dark as Pa and Mom normally do when they go to their roosting spots for the night. And just prior to this a questionable B vocal, but if him it was not his usual begging calls. Hoping they all show up tomorrow at the nest and B has not left for his journey. But he is definitely within the timeframe for dispersal.

:15heartbeat: Found out today that one Berry chatter did see B at the nest on Sunday afternoon that she was able to share with children who were visiting @ the time, so this brings B's visits to 3 on Sunday. I am drawing attention to this as B has not been seen on cams nor heard for > than 24 hours @ this time. This is HIGHLY unusual for B and he may have started his "eagle journey", but will need to see more passage of time as he could check back in.

Only Pa was seen this morning @ 6:27 when he flew to the nest with a very long and very dead pine bough and placed to the rails. He then tried removing a pinecone and dead needles from it. He flew out @ 6:33 am and no eagles were reported being seen on cam since. I did hear adult eagle chatter this evening before dark as Pa and Mom most likely were coming to roost for the night to their favorite spots in the rear. They always acknowledge each other with vocals for this event.

:15heartbeat: Only Pa was seen at the nest today. He came in with a fish early this morning that he ate. And he stopped by for a nest check before dark this evening and adjusted the long pine bough on the rail that he placed yesterday morning. B was not seen nor heard today. Mom has not been to the nest since Saturday the 20th.

:15heartbeat: Still no signs of B in the nest area. Mom came in early this morning with a large stick to place. Pa came in late morning and primarily stood about the nest for about 2 1/2 hours. He returned just before dark for a nest check and a stick to place and only stayed a couple of minutes. A couple minutes after he flew to the rear to roost for the night an adult eagle flew to the right of the nest and up to a tree in the rear near where Pa was and who I assume was Mom coming in for the night to roost.

:15heartbeat: B was not seen again today. As far as I know, only Pa was seen at the nest today when he brought a stick to place at 6:50 am. He did a little aeration. He stood. Pa flew out at 7:10 am. Tonight at 8:33 Pa and Mom could be heard chattering back and forth from the rear at 8:33. Then at 8:34 they could be seen flying out from their roosting area in the rear and toward and under the nest area. I did not attempt to see if they returned to their roosting spots for the night afterwards.

:15heartbeat: B was not seen today. Mom came in early this morning with a small pine bough and only stayed a couple minutes. Pa showed up to the nest about 5 minutes later with a stick and flew out after having stayed about 12 minutes. No more sightings of them till this evening when 1 flew to a tree below and to the left of the nest and then flew off and up toward the rear and out of sight. Seconds later Pa arrived to the nest with a stick and a few minutes later Mom arrived with a stick. Mom ended up moving the stick Pa had brought in while he messed with some pinecones on the nest. Then they aerated just for a bit. Mom flew out at 8:45 and Pa at 8:47.

:eggthumb: Yay, eagles seen today! Per chat, Mom came in with a stick at about 6:23 this morning, then Pa arrived with a stick at some point. Both were gone by 6:30. And they were not seen on cam the rest of the day. Unfortunately, there was a reset for the cams after their visit and I did not get to see them...

:eggthumb: Sky, that is wonderful you were able to go by the nest. Wish they had been around for you to see. They were not seen on cam Sunday either. And the same for today...No eagles seen...
