:taz: Here's a video by Bel of the GHO attacks on Pa during the night. The owl was not able to knock him off the right branch and Pa is doing okay. He went on to stay the remainder of the night and flew out at 7:09 this morning. Pa had flown in to the tree early this morning as he knew someone was messing around the area of his nest tree. :15heartbeat:

Owl attacks by Bel.

:eggthumb: Pa spent the night on the right branch. He flew at 7:11 this morning. Pa to the nest at 7:12 this evening and after a few seconds of standing, he aerated the bowl. He went up onto the right rails at 7:16 and after looking down toward the ground for a bit, he hopped to the right branch and out of sight. Although I am not 100% sure, I believe Pa may have remained on the right branch out of sight through this evening and continues to do so as the right branch remains depressed from his weight. The nest remains empty as I leave at 12:18 am.

:eggthumb: Pa hopped down from the right branch to the nest at 7:02 this morning after having spent the night. To the left branch at 7:03 and flew seconds later. The female arrived to the nest at 7:02 this evening and she looked around. She went to the left branch at 7:05 and turned around to face the nest, then to the left rails and flew seconds later to the left, then towards the rear. Could hear eagle vocals from 7:07-7:10 and again from 7:12-7:14 that sounded mostly like her. The nest remains empty as I leave at 1:00 am.

:eggthumb: The female arrived to the nest at 9:59 this morning and aerated the bowl. At 10:02, she headed toward the left rails and stood. She got up onto the left rails and stood at 10:35 and stood looking around. She flew at 10:51 to the left, then toward the rear. This evening at 6:56 an eagle flew past the left of the nest and headed toward the rear. Pa arrived to the nest at 6:59 and looked down at the nest floor, then raised his head and looked around and then down again. The female arrived at 7:01 and they aerated the bowl and moved debris. Pa moved a stick here and there about the rails at 7:03 and finally she took it from him and placed it toward the left rails. She went to the left branch at 7:05 and turned around to face the nest. Pa aerated the bowl. Several seconds later the sound of a motorcycle starting up startled them and they both turned to look. She flew out over the nest several seconds later at 7:06 to the left, then toward the rear for the night. Pa watched her go. Pa got onto the rear left, curve of the rails at 7:10 and flew seconds later at 7:11 to the left, then toward the rear for the night. Welcoming vocals with response could be heard seconds later from the rear woods. The nest remains empty as I leave at 1:05 am.

:eggthumb: Pa arrived to the nest at 6:59 tonight and stood around looking. He flew at 7:07 from the left rear, curve of the rails to the left, then toward the rear. A large eagle (most likely the female) flew by to the left of the nest at 7:08 headed toward the rear woods. Seconds later welcoming vocals with responses could be heard. Alert vocals could be heard at 7:14. The nest remains empty as I leave at 11:25 pm.

:eggthumb: Pa to the left branch at 12:07 this afternoon. Then down to the nest at 12:08. He picked up one small stray, stick off the floor of the nest and half heartily tossed it toward the right rails, then he stood for awhile. He went to the left rear, curve of the rails at 12:14 and flew to the left. The nest remains empty as I leave at 12:14 am.

:eggthumb: Pa to the nest at 6:41 this evening and stood until the female arrived at 6:54 and then he got busy aerating the bowl and moving debris out. She assisted. Pa moved some small stray, sticks at 6:55 to the front rail. She got up on the right rails at 6:56 and Pa placed some sticks near her talons. Then he aerated the bowl and she came down to assist. The female continued to aerate as Pa moved near the left rails, then he turned to watch her. She went to the rear of the nest at 6:59 and then up on the rails and she flew to the left, then toward the rear for the day. Pa watched her go. Pa to the left rear of the nest at 7:01. Then at 7:03, he got up on the left rails and flew to the left, then toward the rear for the day. Shortly, welcoming vocals could be heard. The nest remains empty as I leave at 12:25 am.

:eggthumb: Eagle in for a few minutes this morning around 7:43 per chat who thought it might be the female. Pa to the nest at 6:53 this evening and stood. He looked down at the floor and about several times. The female arrived at 6:57 and aerated the bowl. Pa assisted, then he moved debris out of it and next moved some sticks to the right rails. She tried to move a stick, but he took it from her and placed it to the right rails, so she aerated the bowl some more. Then he helped her aerate. They stood a bit, then Pa moved more sticks and she aerated more. Pa stood as she continued to aerate. He worked on the floor a little. Then, they both stood. She crouched over the bowl and aerated. Pa to the left rails at 7:02. He flew at 7:03 to the left, then toward the rear for the day. She watched him go. She went to the left rails at 7:03 and flew seconds later at 7:04 to the left, then towards the rear for the day. Soon welcoming vocals could be heard with responses. Back and forth eagle chatter in the distance at 11:57. The nest remains empty as I leave at 12:10 am.

:eggthumb: Went back and forth with this one, but female on the nest at 7:51 this morning and aerated the bowl. She went to the left branch at 7:54 and flew at 7:57. Pa to the nest at 4:36 this afternoon and stood. The female arrived at 4:49. It turned out to be a very long visit with Pa remaining the whole time and she left twice and came back twice. She brought back a very large stick the 1st return and a large fluff delivery the 2nd return. They did a lot of work on the nest and only 1 fussy snip at her by Pa. May write up the visit at a later time, but it is very long and I am too tired to do so tonight. As she faced the nest, she flew directly from the left branch down and to the left, then toward the rear for the day at 6:52, then Pa immediately flew to the left, then toward the rear for the day. At 6:53, welcoming vocals with responses could be heard from back there wherever it is that they are perched for the night. The nest remains empty as I leave at 12:26 am.

:1val: Pa to the nest at 10:38 this morning with a large, multi-stemmed stick and placed it to the front rails, then stood. He flew at 10:58 for the day. The female arrived to the nest at 12:51 this afternoon with a fluff delivery and spread it around some, then aerated the bowl. She stopped working and just stood at 12:54. She flew to the left at 1:35 for the day. The nest remains empty as I leave at 12:03 am.

:eggthumb: The female arrived to the nest at 7:50 this morning and aerated the bowl for a second. To the left branch at 7:51 and flew at 7:52.

Per Bel, Pa in at 2:09 this afternoon and the female arrived with a fluff delivery at 2:12. He worked on the multi-stemmed limb at the front rail, then both dug in the fluff. Female to the left branch at 2:15, then turned to face the nest at 2:16. Pa to the right branch at 2:19 and flew at 2:21. She preened and stretched, then flew at 2:27 to the left, then towards the rear.

Pa to the nest at 5:51 this evening and he landed on a stick causing one end of it to flip upward, so he picked it up and placed to the right front, curve of the rails, then stood. She arrived at 6:58 and picked at the bowl. Pa moved around her and I thought he was going to start working, but his movement disturbed a stick from the front rails and it slipped down through an opening in the rails and probably to the ground. They heard it and tried to see what had caused the noise. Pa even peered over the edge of the nest, then got up on the left branch at 6:59 to try and see what made that noise as she continued to peer from the nest toward the direction the noise came from. He turned to face the nest at 7:00 and she started aerating the bowl, so he went down to assist. Pa to the rear rails to work at 7:01 as she continued to aerate the bowl. Then Pa went to the left rear, curve of the rails. He flew at 7:02 to the left, then toward the rear for the day. She followed him out seconds later at 7:03. Soon welcoming vocals could be heard, but no responses. At 1:51 am eagle vocals with responses could be heard from the rear woods. The nest remains empty as I leave at 2:19 am.

:eggthumb: Came in at 8:21 this morning and Pa was on the left branch. He flew at 8.23. Per chat, Pa had come in at 7:54 and the female at 7:56 and both with fluff deliveries. There was no mention of when the female left from this visit. Pa returned to the left branch at 8:43, then down to the nest and spreads fluff, aerates bowl, then stood. At 8:57, he spread more fluff, and at 8:58, he moved a stray stick to the rear rails, adjusted the left rails, then stood. He went up on the left curve of the rear rails at 9:51 and flew at 9:52 to the left, then toward the rear. Pa returned at 11:41 with the remains of a fish possibly. he took his last bites of it, then he gleaned bits from the nest floor at 11:46. He went to the left branch and flew at 11:47. He returned at 6:15 this evening to the nest. He went to the left side at 6:16 and ate the remaining bits of the meal he had earlier today. Then to the rear rails and he flew at 6:19 for the day to the left, then toward the rear. Vocals soon heard with responses from the rear woods. The nest remains empty as I leave at 1:01 am.

:eggthumb: Pa made several visits to the nest today to work at times and to stand some. He made some stick deliveries. Heard the Blue Angels flying overhead today and even coyote's in broad daylight when an ambulance with sirens went down the main road. The nest remains empty as I leave at 2:05 am.

:1val: Pa in 4 times today with short to long stays. The female came in twice this evening to join him. Both worked on the bowl and rails bringing in sticks or moving them about and fluff was also brought in. The nest remains empty as I leave at 12:38 am.
