:ghost: Ma did not spend the night on the nest. At 6:41 this morning, she arrived to the nest and stood. She flew at 6:45 up and over the left branch and out. Pa to the nest at 7:20 with prey. He eats and defeathers. Ma arrived at 7:47 to the left branch and Pa starts on rail work right away. Pa to the rear branch at 7:49 and feaks. Ma to the nest at 7:56 and eats the prey remains left by Pa as he watches her. Ma to the rear rails at 8:16 and feaks. At 8:26, she returns to the remains and eats. Pa flew at 8:40. Ma alerts at 8:47. A subadult eagle to the rear branch and Ma becomes quiet and stands stoically. The SA inches further down the rear branch at 8:49. Ma is softly vocal. She is softly vocal again at 8:50 and again a minute later. She possibly sees Pa in the distance at 9:00 and alerts. Ma and the SA are watching something in the distance. Then they stood. At 9:27, a mockingbird harasses the SA some. The SA picked off a pine cone at 9:28 from the tree and chewed on it. You could actually hear it cracking under the pressure of the subs beak. The SA flew at 9:36. Pa arrived at 9:46 and both he and Ma alerted, then stood. Pa to the rear branch at 10:06. Ma flew at 10:09 and Pa seconds later. Missed Pa arriving to the left branch at 2:09 per chat, but did find him on the nest eating prey at 2:12. He seems to finish at 2:27. To the rear rail at 2:28 and flew seconds later. At 5:33, Ma to the nest with Pa arriving seconds later to the left branch and out of sight. She sifted through the floor of the nest where Pa had eaten earlier for any remains, but not much luck. She went to the rear rails at 5:34 and flew seconds later for the day. Pa comes in view easing down the left branch at 5:36. He went to the nest at 5:37 and searches for prey remnants and eats. To the rear rails at 5:54 and flew seconds later for the day. The nest remains empty as I leave at 1:00 am.

:1val: Ma spent the night on the nest. She was in the bowl at 6:16 this morning when I checked the DVR. She stood at 6:48 and flew at 7:03 from the rear of the nest. Ma returned at 9:01 to the left branch and immediately to the bowl and settled by 9:02. She stood at 10:08 and looked around, then settled back down in the bowl at 10:41. She stood at 11:00 and flew out the rear at 11:04. Pa to the nest at 1:23 and looked around and at times upward. At 1:28 he aerated the bowl, then stood in it. Ma to the nest at 1:31. Pa continued to aerate the bowl and move fluff, then to the rear of the nest and looked around. Ma aerated the bowl at 1:35 and Pa did right rail work. She settled in the bowl and aerated it more. Pa to the rear branch at 1:52 and flew at 1:55 for the day. Ma stood at 3:48, then flew from the bowl at 3:52 out the rear. Ma returned to the nest at 4:53, then to the bowl and settled in. She has remained on the nest this evening either in the bowl sleeping or standing and looking around and preening. Currently she remains settled in the bowl as I leave at 1:12 am, but is awake because Rocky woke her up at 1:04.

:1val: Ma did not spend the night. Pa arrived to the nest at 6:46 this morning and went to the bowl to aerate. Next he stood at various places about the nest, then flew up and over the left branch at 6:57. Ma to the nest at 7:01 with Pa on her heels. She stood and he aerated the bowl, rail work, then stood. Pa to the left branch at 7:07 and flew seconds later. Ma continued to stand. She flew at 7:11 out the rear for the day. Pa to the nest at 8:19 with a multi-stemmed stick that he eventually placed to the right rails, then stood a bit. He flew out the rear at 8:30. Pa to the nest at 4:16 and looked around. He flew out at 4:19 up and over the left branch for the day. The nest remains empty as I leave at 1:22 am.

:1val: Ma did not spend the night. Pa in with a stick at 6:59 this morning per chat. Unsure when he left, but was already gone when I came in at 7:17 on the DVR. Ma to the nest at 5:56 tonight with Pa arriving seconds later. He aerated the bowl and Ma assisted. Pa to the tangle to work. With the assist of her wing tip for balance, Ma travels across the nest to the rear rails and flew at 6:00 for the day. Pa watched to see where she went and followed her out seconds later for the day, traveling the route she had taken. At 6:01 a deer could be seen between the 2 left branches walking down below. Then you could hear eagle alerts in the distance from the rear woods that they had traveled to. Rocky was on the nest early this evening. The nest remains empty as I leave at 12:50 am.

:harvest: Ma did not spend the night on the nest. At 10:33 this morning, Ma to the nest landing in the bowl. She settled in it a couple minutes later after aeration. Pa to the nest at 10:59 with a stick he placed to the front rail, picked up a stray stick from the floor and placed it too, aerated about the bowl rim, then the bowl forcing Ma out. They stood a bit, he tried to snip on Ma, then a little rail and fluff work for Pa, they stood more at 11:24. When I came back in at 12:40 there had been a reset, so from the app cam saw Ma fly out the rear at 12:40 with Pa following. Ma to the nest at 5:33, then to the bowl to stand. Pa to the nest at 5:48. He worked on the tangle, moved fluff about the nest floor, tried to work more with the tangle, more floor work, more tangle work, more floor work. At 5:51, he tried to move a pine cone reaching over to other side of bowl causing Ma to get out, then he aerated the bowl. At 5:52, Ma to the rear rails and flew seconds later for the day.. Pa watched her go, picked up and dropped 2-3 pieces of fluff from the floor, then flew out the rear at 5:54 for the day. Rocky made several visits to the nest this evening running and gunning. Heard distant voices, then maybe an owl at 12:16 am, then Ma crash landed on the nest from the rear at 12:17. Checked the approach cam and saw a large bird fly in front of the nest tree seconds before Ma landed. Don't know if it was an intruder or her, but normally she does not fly in front of the nest tree and circle around to the rear before landing. She usually flies straight in from the rear. It looks as if she will be spending the night as I leave at 1:24 am she is tucked and asleep.

:harvest: Ma spent the night on the nest. Per DVR could only go back to 8:09 this morning and Ma is settled in the bowl. (Prior to this Pa came in at 6:44 and flew out at 6:47. Ma flew at 6:48. She returned at around 8:00 per chat.) She stood at 11:01, then settled back down in the bowl at 11:05. Pa in with a stick a little after 12:00 that he finally placed to the front rails crowding out Ma and she stood. He aerated the bowl then and Ma flew at 12:06 from where she stood. He watched her go and followed out from the rear rails at 12:08. Ma to the nest at 4:05 and settled in the bowl at 4:09. She stood at 4:44 and preened a little, but mainly was watchful out from the nest. She settled back in the bowl at 5:21. She stood again at 5:48. She aerated and settled back down in the bowl at 5:51. Pa to the nest at 5:52. He flew out the rear at 5:56 for the day. Ma stood at 7:32. At 9:49, she backed up to the left rails for a PS and got a little tangled in the rails, but was able to free herself, then stood. Ma back to the bowl at 11:50 and stood after a little aeration. She preened a little, then tucked her head to sleep at 12:10. Suddenly she started preening again at 12:13. She tucked her head again at 12:21. Awake again at 1:02 and preens. She aerated the bowl at 1:09, then stood. A minute later she stretched and backed up a little bit and caught her balance on one wing and let out a little chirp, then stood. She preened a little, then tucked her head to sleep at 1:19. She continues to sleep with her head tucked as I leave at 1:27 am.

:harvest: Ma spent the night on the nest. Pa came in early this morning before the IR went off per chat. Per DVR, found Ma standing in the bowl at 7:34. She flew after tracking something in the distance at 7:39. Pa to the left branch at 8:29 and down to the nest 1-2 minutes later. He aerated the bowl, then stood for awhile. He flew out the rear at 8:43. Pa to the rear nest at 5:59 and looked intently below and out from the nest to the right and rear for a bit. Then he watched something from above that flew from the right toward the front. At 6:02, Pa continues to look all around and hasn't moved from where he landed. At 6:03, he finally diverts his attention to the floor of the nest for a bit, then watchful again. Ma arrived at 6:04 and they looked at each other, then Pa got busy aerating the bowl as Ma looked around. At 6:06, Pa to the rear rails and flew for the day with Ma watching to see where he went. She flew for the day at 6:08, following his path. Alerts in the near distance could be heard seconds later. Rocky has visited the nest several times this evening. The nest remains empty as I leave at 12:35 am.

:harvest: Ma did not spend the night on the nest. At 7:58 this morning, Pa arrives with prey (most likely coot) to the left branch for a touch and go landing, then to the nest and eats. He finished at 8:02 and aerated the bowl, stood a bit, then more eating. He quit eating at 8:26 and flew to the rear branch a minute later and feaked. He flew at 8:29. Ma to the nest at 5:53 and began eating the remains of Pa's meal from this morning that she could find amongst the fluff of the nest floor. Pa arrived to the left branch at 5:54 and down to the nest seconds later. He watched Ma eat (you could tell he wanted it, but didn't dare disturb Ma), aerated the bowl, then tried to move a pine cone out of it. Ma feaked on the floor of the nest when she had finished eating. Then Pa moved in looking for any remnants of food left. Ma flew out the rear at 5:58 for the day. Pa watched her leave, then continued to pick through the floor for any leftovers. He flew out the rear at 6:00 for the day following Ma's path. Rocky had an extended visit on the nest tonight. The nest remains empty as I leave at 12:32 am.

Adult Eagle Intruder In The Nest Tree Area Today

:harvest: Ma did not spend the night on the nest. Per chat, Pa in from 6:46-6:56 this morning. Going back on the DVR, I found possibly Pa on the right branch at 9:42 (he had arrived at 9:35 per chat) very watchful. At 10:10, he went down to the nest. From his behavior which was very watchful and nervous, I began to question if this was Pa, but nothing other than the behavior as it looked like him otherwise. Checking chat another eagle was present prior to my arrival who was not Ma that had flown. I think they thought the eagle who had left was Pa, but I tend to think this might be Pa exhibiting upset behavior. He flew at 10:19. At 3:55 adult eagle to the left branch with his back to us and only partially in view. There were a couple of flyovers of a large bird per the shadows cast on the nest. At 4:23, Ma to the nest and you could hear her alerting prior to seeing her land. She appeared upset and continued to alert looking out at something from the left side of the nest. Not once did she look at the eagle on the left branch. She flew out the left side as if in pursuit at the end of the 4:23 minute. From the approach cam, there were 2 flyovers above the nest tree per shadows cast, just before she flew out. At 4:58, Pa came down from the left branch to the nest and he started moving fluff on the floor. Ma arrived seconds later and she's still fussy. Pa continued to work. Ma picked up and dropped one of the sticks on the floor. Pa came over and moved it nearer the rails. Then they both aerated the bowl. Ma flew at 5:04 and Pa watched to see where she went. At 5:06, Pa flew from the rear rails. Pa arrived to a right rear, branch (that I have never seen him come in on) at 5:16 abruptly and then to the nest somewhat clumsily. He poked through and aerated the bowl and is looking around. He abruptly flew out the front of the nest after calling out at 5:18 and you could hear screaming vocals from him after he was off cam. Ma to the nest at at 5:59 with alerts and you could hear Pa responding in the distance. Pa to the nest at 6:00. They aerate the bowl. Pa flew from the rear rails at 6:03 for the day. Ma watched to see where he went and flew seconds later for the day. Rocky made his first visit to the nest very early this evening. The nest remains empty as I leave at 12:55 am.
