:15heartbeat: Unknown where Samson and Gabby are roosting tonight, but both were here earlier this evening. Legacy is spending the night on the nest tree.

Legacy had 2 encounters this morning with other birds. Video by Lady Hawk:

:shock

:1val: For now, Legacy is standing on the nest. It's a windy night. Samson and Gabby are at the LY. The Tuck:

SUNDAY TUCK-IN: Your "tucker" has been on vacation for a week and back.....glad to see our Legacy is still at the nest. She sure seems to be a "homebody" and certainly is well fed! One huge crop going on there. She was blessed with and today and had a few short flights, but back to the nest she came. Mom and dad are tucked tonight in the LY as usual. Hoping those celebrating Mother's Day today had a wonderful day We are all a mother to someone or something! SED to our Hamlets and SED to all.

:1val: Legacy was on the tv show "Right This Minute" showing the owl knocking her off the branch. Video at site this evening. Legacy is spending the night on the nest tree again and Samson and Gabby are at the LY. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:04 PM
MONDAY TUCK-IN: Legacy certainly claims the nest, nest tree and the sky above! She is a force to reckon with when food is delivered. She received 2 good sized fish today and continues to spend most of the day at the nest perched. What an entertainer she is! We tucked Samson and Gabby in at the LY tonight......all accounted for! SED y'all

:7val: Legacy decided to spend the night with Mom and Dad at the LY tonight! Photo at site. The Tuck:

TUESDAY TUCK-IN: Legacy loves her nest but today her frequent flights and time away from the nest escalated a bit. She flew from the nest during chat low over Glenn's house screaming all the way with mom in view in the LY. She landed near her and chittered away like crazy until mom decided to move over to another branch. Dad was a tree away avoiding the yipping (lol). He soon flew over and was perched next to mom and the family is roosting in "Camp LY" together tonight. It was a sweet sight.

:flirty: Legacy can currently be seen on cam 2 and it looks as if she will be spending the night. Samson and Gabby are at the ET. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:59 PM
WEDNESDAY TUCK-IN: When we arrived at the nest for tuck-in, the family was spread out at the nest tree. Both parents flew at 8:05 directly to the ET arriving with sweet vocals leaving Legacy at home satisfied with a great meal this evening. She did a lot of flying and seen soaring and riding the thermals today. Mom and dad were seen off-site together this morning in one of their favorite spots. All is very well. SED to all!

:flirty: Legacy is lying on the nest right now. Looks as if it will be a stormy day here with the clouds and intermittent winds.

:1val: Legacy is on the nest tree tonight and Gabby is at the LY. It is unknown where Samson is. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 9:11 PM
THURSDAY TUCK-IN: Soon after arriving at the nest Gabby flew from LOP directly over head. She later arrived in the LY. We didn't see Romeo tonight in the LY or ET, however he is a night-flyer and could have arrived after we left. It continues to be a breezy night. Legacy is wind-surfing at the nest and had fish delivered today. All is fine in the pine! SED y'all

:loveheart2: Legacy is lying on the nest tonight and Gabby is at the ET. Unknown where Samson is. The Tuck:

FRIDAY TUCK-IN: Arriving in the Hamlet we found mom perched in the ET across the street from the nest. She could no doubt view the little yipper, and she, too, could see mom as she was yipping away. We didn't see dad, but he often arrives later than mom and likely showed up at the ET after dark once we left. It's been a couple of windy days. Legacy has the right idea laying flat in the nest! SED to our Hamlets and SED to all!

SATURDAY TUCK-IN: Whew.....it was exhausting watching this wild family tonight. Action packed!! jd_AEF has all the events posted above. In a nut shell.....Legacy has a honkin' crop. Dad stole a fish and flew off with it and chowed at the ET and then flew off to the LY for the night. Mom joined him later. Keep cool and carry on they didn't! All is calm now, and we have one happy, satisfied family. What a joyous season!

:1val: Nobody at the nest tree tonight. The Tuck:

SUNDAY TUCK-IN: Gabby took off from the nest with Legacy on her trail. They may have seen Samson. When we arrived at the LY they were all perched in close proximity and tucked for the night. Tomorrow Legacy will be 14 wks old! Sleep well sweet Hamlets and SED to all!

:1val: Nobody on the nest tree tonight. The Tuck:

MONDAY TUCK-IN: What an action packed day at the nest. I guess 14wks accelerates the "me, me, me" in Legacy. She may not want her delivered fish at the moment, but there's no sharing going on there! Dad spent much of the day at the nest delivering 3 fish to her today on her 14wk hatch day. At dusk (8:33pm) mom was at the ET and dad and Legacy were in the LY......a stand off? Will mom fly and join the family? Just wonderful knowing where they roost and tucked for the night. SED to our Hamlets and SED to all!

:15heartbeat: Wonder if Gabby is getting ready to leave early as she did last year. Nobody home tonight. Gabby is at the ET and Samson and Legacy are at the LY. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:53 PM
TUESDAY TUCK-IN: Another action packed day at the nest. Samson has been spending considerable time at the nest over the past couple of days with Legacy. Today, again, he delivered several fish.....BIG ones, I might add. It continued to be a cat and mouse ritual claiming the fish back and forth. So amusing. With all mom and dad are delivering, I wonder if they want Legacy to ever leave! Sure has been a joyous and entertaining season, even if we only had one eaglet. Just like last night ..... mom was tucked in the ET and dad and Legacy together in the LY. SED to our Hamlets and SED to all!

:flirty: Legacy is alone at the LY tonight and it ia Unknown where Samson and Gabby are spending the night. The Tuck:

WEDNESDAY TUCK-IN (May 19): Glenn spotted a parent in the LY tonight before arriving at the nest. Legacy
soon flew from the nest tree, and we found her over perched SOLO at the LY. Neither mom or dad were spotted in the LY or ET. They are, no doubt, close by. A night in the Hamlet for Legacy but not at the nest for her first time SOLO. Step by step Legacy is learning independence. It's all good. Niters to all

THURSDAY TUCK-IN: Our Handy Dandy Cam Op, LisaS_AEF, has all the details of the evening at the nest above. Whew.....it was a whirlwind kind of a night! We saw dad eating at the ET after he flew from the nest with stolen fish. Before leaving last we saw at dark was both mom and dad at the ET. Come to find out dad flew back to the nest with the fish. I guess mom's probably at the ET still ??? Looks like Samson and Legacy wore themselves out as seen on cam 2 zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. SED everyone!

FRIDAY TUCK-IN: Another cat and mouse day at the nest as Legacy continues to command all food delivered and makes it quite clear to mom and dad to keep their distance unless Legacy wants to perch near them. At this stage she (thinks) she owns the nest AND the nest tree. Mom and dad continue to deliver and tolerate. When we arrived at the LY for tuck tonight, mom and Legacy were perched near each other. Soon dad comes flying in with a loud and clear warning 'er welcome from Legacy. He chose to roost in a different tree (lol). All is fine in the LY pines! SED y'all

:15heartbeat: Legacy has not been seen since late this morning. Samson and Gabby are at the LY tonight. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:45 PM
SATURDAY TUCK IN: We went back and forth checking the LY, ET, back behind nest, ET, LY. Finally at 8:11pm mom and dad flew into the LY with welcoming vocals. We didn't see Legacy since she left the nest tree this morning at 11:32. Did she hook up with the fledglings from the nest she visited a few weeks ago when we thought she was MIA? Time will tell. She's likely to return to the nest before she leaves the area. She missed out on two fish deliveries today that Gabby and Samson brought to the nest. Well, mom and dad are accounted for, and Legacy is tucked elsewhere but very likely in a good spot. SED to all!

SUNDAY TUCK-IN: We didn't see Legacy today. Tomorrow she will be 15 wks old. All eyes are on deck for her possible return. Whether Legacy returns or is on her way to enjoy the independence intended, we can be assured she has a great start and raised by the best. Samson and Gabby arrived and were tucked at the LY tonight at 8:20pm. SED to our dear Hamlets and SED to all!

:15heartbeat: Legacy was not seen again today. I believe she turned 15 weeks old today. Samson is at the LY and it is unknown where Gabby is spending the night. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 9:41 PM
MONDAY TUCK-IN: We waited at the LY for any arrivals. It was getting fairly dark, but Samson (I'm quite sure) flew in at 8:25pm. We only saw one eagle. I saw one of them off-site this afternoon perched in one of their favorite trees closer to the ocean. Gabby arrived after chat this morning for a while. Sightings and nest action is slowing down as expected. SED to our Hamlets and SED to all!

:flirty: Samson is currently on the nest tree, but his position makes him hard to see for now. Gabby nor Legacy were seen today. The Tuck:

TUESDAY TUCK-IN: Samson arrived at the nest a bit after 5pm and is still there! He's currently perched and preening on the Sunset Branch as seen in the background on Cam 2. The glare makes it hard to see him. There's a big moon tonight, so he may fly, but for now he's home.....HIS home! He arrived at the nest earlier today with a fish. There weren't any takers, so he soon downed it. Neither Gabby or Legacy were seen today, but we have Samson!

:flirty: Samson was here today. As far as I know, Gabby and Legacy were not seen today. Unknown for now where Samson is sleeping tonight.

Edit to add: The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 9:42 PM
WEDNESDAY TUCK-IN (May 26): Faithful Samson paid a visit to the nest today complete with fish delivery. He devoured it, and his huge crop was proof. He arrived at the LY tonight at 8:20pm and was tucked. We haven't seen Gabby at tuck since Sun night, and Legacy was last seen Sat morning flying off at 11:32am. She may have departed giving us bittersweet emotions, but a good feeling believing she's equiped to be the mighty, independent eagle she was meant to be. What a beautiful season we have enjoyed. I have a feeling Samson will be around for awhile, if not at the nest, in the nest area. SED y'all
