:1val: Only Gabby and Legacy are home tonight and it is another "buggy" one. Gabby has moved to a branch since Tuck written and she can be seen on cam 2. The Tuck:

WEDNESDAY TUCK-IN: Well.....thought we had a family night home on the range, but guess dad decided to leave. Bet he will return! Mom is snuggled with Legacy. Our baby isn't much of a baby anymore. Rain is predicted off and on thru the night. Tomorrow April Fools day is upon us! SED to our Hamlets and SED to all!

:1val: Samson and Gabby on cam 2 tonight and Legacy on the nest. All are asleep, the adults with their heads tucked. They said it is cooler tonight, so maybe that is why I am not seeing the bugs. The Tuck:

THURSDAY TUCK-IN: A family nite at the nest! Mom and dad are tucked on cam 2 and Legacy is tucked in the nest. It's a pleasant night and cooler. Tomorrow will be a chilly day with a high in the mid 50's.....perfect eagle weather! SED everyone!

Good Friday Tuck-In: It appears Gabby and Samson are allowing Legacy to be independent and sleep solo tonight. The committed pair are together roosting very close by ... across the street tucked in the ET. How blessed the season has been without frequent interruptions during the night by barred owls as in past seasons. Rest well, dear Legacy. You have been well fed today and shielded from the wind by mom. What a Good Friday. SED to all!

SATURDAY TUCK-IN: Our Hamlet family is at home tonight and fully tucked with Legacy (well fed) on Cam 1 and mom and dad on Cam 2 (hard view with the glare of the cam). The volunteer cam team at NEFL wishes you a blessed Easter and hope for peace in our great country. SED to all!

:1val: At 8:24 pm Samson and Gabby are awake and can be seen perched side by side on cam 2. Legacy is on the nest resting, but shaking her head at short intervals as it looks to be another "buggy night".

They have moved since I posted above. It is almost 10:30 pm now. The Tuck gives their new locations with cam views. And the Tuck mentions that Legacy's lesions have cleared up now. (From suspected Avian Pox) Mod report and The Tuck:

jd_AEF:
Samson moved to Wallenda at 8:27 pm...we'll see if Gabby moves with him now. For now we have Sam on cam 2 and Gabby on cam 3, with Legacy on cam one.

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:19 PM
EASTER SUNDAY TUCK-IN: I hope your Easter was delightful and peaceful. All is peaceful in the Hamlet. Our Hamlets have a cam to themselves (at this time) as jd_AEF posted above. Tomorrow our little nestling will be 8 wks old! Won't be too long and she will be on the branch. So relieved her lesions have disappeared. So much to be grateful and thankful for. SED to everyone!

I have been following from th e beginning and to see such a wonderful outcome is humbling. I remember Buddy, when he had to be rescued because his beak would d have to be trimmed for life and he would not have made it in wild. I still support buddy by being part of foster program.
Legacy has overcome some eye issues, a virus , which can take all forks down the road,

just a few pciutres but I will come back and post some more eloquent ones

WEDNESDAY TUCK-IN: Yes, mom and dad are fully tucked on Cam 1 on the Wallenda branches. Whereas Legacy is sleeping standing up on Cam 2 & 4. Very peaceful in the Hamlet. Lookout.....some of the NEFL team moderators will be in the Hamlet tomorrow for a 3 day visit.....perhaps for a wave to y'all later in the afternoon or evening! SED everyone!

:1val: Samson and Gabby's whereabouts are unknown so far tonight. Legacy can be seen on the nest. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:01 PM
THURSDAY TUCK-IN: Hmm mom and dad are a "no show" tonight (at least no returnees at 9pm). Checking the ET approx 8pm and they were not there. Gabby was at the nest most all of the day today. Maybe she gave Samson the word that there were several earthwalkers in the Hamlet today and to stay clear! Several Moderators visited and had great views of her and of Legacy flapping away. She was well fed, as usual. SED to everyone!

leigh_AEF#1923 Today at 6:30 PM
Legacy has some visitors on cam 2.
Gabby arrives on LOP at 7:47. Legacy is happy to see her. Samson arrives at 7:58. Everyone is home! Legacy is unhappy that Dad didn't bring anything to eat and she is letting everyone know. Samson tried 2x to look in the nest to look for nestovers. Legacy let him know there was nothing left. Gabby and Samson are perched together on the Wallenda branches on cam 1 and Legacy has settled down on cam 2. SED's to all. See you in the morning for chat at 8 am.

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:13 PM
FRIDAY TUCK-IN: Thank you, leigh_AEF, for tucking. It was a joy for several of the NEFL team Moderators to join me on site today along with Tatine and Glenn in the Hamlet. Tuck was just wonderful seeing the family together as they are now. SED to this most special family and SED to all. See you tomorrow!

:1val: So far, only Gabby (cam 2) and Legacy are here tonight. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 7:23 PM
SATURDAY TUCK-IN: It was a beautiful day today until the rain came early evening. Actually the Hamlet is in need of rain, and Legacy had a great time rain-dancing (check out the video above by jd_AEF) and feeling the cool rain on her feathers. As usual she was well fed, and her crop proves it! 4 fish were delivered. What initially thought was a squirrel delivery was actually an opossum complete with a jaw and obvious teeth. It was another great day enjoyed by the NEFL team members that are visiting (Woo, beach, babyhawk, shariph, grammaduck and grt). We wish the whole team could have attended our Hamlet Retreat, but we give mighty thanks to them for covering. It looks like Legacy is falling asleep in the upright position. What a blessing she is to the Hamlet and to all of us. SED to everyone!

:loveheart2:

Samson and Gabby are spending the night away from the nest tree. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:09 PM
SUNDAY TUCK-IN: Another night solo for our Legacy? She has proven to be a BIG girl and is slowly facing independent living in the wild. No doubt mom or dad will show with breakfast for her in the morning on her 9th week hatch day! What progress seeing her "branch" today (photo below). Won't be long and she will be "out on the branch"! SED sweet Legacy and SED to all!

:1val: Samson and Gabby at the LY tonight and Legacy is asleep on the nest currently. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 9:05 PM
TUESDAY TUCK-IN: Legacy had a satisfying day with plenty of fish delivered. She's quite the "rail baby" and appearing quite confident on the edge. As usual mom spent much time perched at the nest. She flew about 8pm as Glenn heard Samson calling her over to the LY. They are roosting there tonight and both in the photo below by Glenn at tuck. SED to all and to all a good night!

:eggthumb: Only Samson (cam 2) and Legacy are home tonight. Gabby is at the ET and has chattered with Samson. Legacy is standing to sleep tonight for the 1st time as far as I know. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 9:05 PM
WEDNESDAY TUCK-IN: Well, Legacy is snoozing in the upright position in the nest, while dad is tucked on the Wallenda in easy sight of each other. Mom was tucked a little after 8pm across the street in the ET. She knows Samson has everything under control 'er is it Legacy has everything under control? All is fine in the pines! SED to all!

:1val: Another "buggy night". All are home. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:01 PM
THURSDAY TUCK-IN: jd-AEF has the tuck above! As usual mom perches at the tree most of the day keeping Legacy company. Several fish were delivered, so Legacy is certainly satisfied! Dad flew in a little after 8pm and joined mom on the Wallenda branches. Love how Legacy (aka: rail baby) gets as close to them as she can. Sweet baby! SED y'all

gretchen_AEF#1945 Yesterday at 9:16 PM
FRIDAY TUCK-IN: It looks like our Legacy is roosting solo at the nest tonight. She hasn't moved from that spot in hours. I'm thinking mom and dad may be at the ET, as she's facing that direction. They weren't at the LY at 8pm. It's very likely one or both will fly back to the nest during the night. Some rain is expected off and on thru the night and into tomorrow. Nothing serious. SED to everyone

Saturday Tuck-In: Legacy has been a statue thru the serious storm that passed thru. Rain is predicted off and on through the night and into Sunday. What a milestone day for our Legacy. She was up on the Sunset branch 3 times. Her dismount was spot on. What will tomorrow bring? She had a squirrel and fish (Spanish Mackerel) today. Mom and dad weren’t spotted at tuck. SED to everyone!
