PattiO and Kitten face... as a new person that has been watching nests, the first thing I learned is, there are many people out there that know more than what they think. Unless , they are on the ground watching the fledge or have a camera angle different then what we see. they should not rule the world... In a short time I have seen mods leave a site not to return because of this thinking. Said because they are the ones learning with us, and don't make us feel dumb. I don't go FB ever. You 2 are doing a great job, don't let people rattle your cage. :attention:

Oh thank you so much Wob
I try so hard to to my best & I promise I'll try with all my might not to let them get under my skin

Thank you both for your comments. I regularly post on the WOW forum - even though not many there follow this nest... but JudyB has checked in and noted the RPP announced fledge date. I told her I thought they were wrong, etc. Even though Kitten and I haven't had as much time this year for this nest as we usually do ... I still think we did a pretty good job. . . and it was HARD season to watch. ALSO ... I base my estimate's on fledging by hatch date ... and the date they DECIDED she fledged was a little too early in my opinion.

I had thought I had "liked" the RPP facebook page ... but I hadn't ... and when I did and then posted a ? the other night the "mod" was right there to chastise me for not looking at ALL the posts ... yada, yada .... and then someone else made a comment about how people should read ALL the posts before asking redundant questions. Sorry folks, that's just not how it works. Kitten and I have probably been watching this nest longer than ANY of them... and it's always the same problem with Moderators - whether it's on FB or the Ustream chat... I swear some of those people just jump on board to be a Mod whether they know anything about eagles or not. And when you try to correct them on something they ban you. I just think that these organizations need to be more careful about who they "hire" to be moderators. It's not worth it when they're teaching people the wrong information ... and want nothing more than to be someone "in charge".

Whew ..... OK ... I think I'm done! :girlcrazy:

Patti,
We have gone threw a lot with the nest, FB, other forums (you know which one I mean) and like you said we have done a good job as far as I'm concerned. To me the only people I care what they think is here.

I would trust what people say here more than any FB , chat etc.

I trust and repect both you opinions on what you see.

Most of us on this forum, try real hard to be informative and kind and I believe we value each other.

I cannot get to all nests when my falcons start but I will eventually make it over to ones I care about

keep up great work ladies :flirty:

Thank you bev,
Your thoughts mean the world to us, and this nest is to me just like the Great Spirit Bluff, if they would stop & listen to people that watch more they might learn a thing or 2. They are biologist & I do respect them for the work they do, but they have other things going on so they can't watch and learn the habits & nature of certain birds. (my opinion)

you are so right. Gord always tells Peter and I and we have seen more than any biologist, because we are there observing constantly.. i know all he has on his plate, that is why we do it.

When she hopped off the nest yesterday she looked like a pro, gracefully like she has been doing it forever.
I'm so proud of our Survivor just like one of my kids.Image
