Edit:
Yankee brings in smaller prey to box and ledge daily.
Dixie brings in the big prey. But yesterday was interesting. I believe they were team hunting. They were both off and on the perch, and it was not in defensive mode.
I put my observations skills from my sites, into play. When our male was injured last year, I watched him flush out prey for Radisson to try and get. It was amazing to watch. But in previous years , Peter and I wAtched them do same team hunting. One chases prey in direction of other, and then dive to try and catch. If our male caught , he either took it to a ledge or transfer it to female
So I do believe that is happening here
Last night Dixie brought in a huge prey.
So Yankee is doing his part, rest assured, but we can appreciate that the big stuff is hard on his talons.
So it is a great team here :loveshow:
