5:34pm MT she just left again. someone talked about the tail but I went back thru all pictures and she flared tail in several pictures . quite early on, so I think , just her thing

Have to go but will leave cam up.

5:36pm

she is back but this time just went to front wrung. NO worries with eggs. If it is warm, they are fine.

I am thinking back and Radisson was off her eggs when it got warmer. going to look badk for a minute at Edmonotn

5:40pm
She is back to eggs and now back to front of box

She is over eggs now . I really think a hatch is near. And she wants a break

I will convert a short video of just now and post it later .

not making light of situation but just trying to think of all scenarios

If that is your female, then I think the issue is with a male. Right before she took off, she spread her tail feathers wide. I saw Beauty do that when she was incubating and that UT male came in last year.

I'm just not sure why she's not on the eggs, unless maybe it's a traveling pair, or maybe there is some kind of work that is going on that is disturbing both of them.

Gosh, these disruptions during incubation are getting old and sad!

OK...I'm liking the possibility of Human disturbance somewhere near the box...that happened last year with one of the Italian nests...it disrupted them so much..

I just think its curious we haven't seen the male during all of this...

Hopefully, this is mom in the box right now..still not on the eggs...

(otherwise, I'm having flash backs to San Francisco!!)

Okay SGB - This reminds me of Cher. Remember she would stand over the eggs, then scraped over them. And I think Dan stayed away from her when she was in nest area.

This female has been stepping on eggs.

If this is Mom, she should get on the eggs soon.

SGB - I was posting composing at the same time you just posted.

mwplay..that's why I'm having flashbacks to San Fran...she's reminding me of Cher...

If she starts scraping...then I think we will know this isn't the resident female...

I'm sorry - I think you are right. I don't think this is the resident. I think it is an intruder.

That would explain why the male is AWOL.

I am just remembering what Gord said during incubation. With this many eggs, she wants them to hatch as close together as possible and if one is getting close, they can slow down process by not incubating fully.

my sound is back

Well Bev, I hope you are right. I hope this is the female. If for some unfortunate reason the male has been displaced, if he provides for her, she can at least feed her young.

These eggs have not been "incubated" for over 2 hrs...maybe longer...
