Lil Dad just made another food delivery. Food is very fresh. For a while they were BOTH in the scrape feeding the chicks. Despite Niecey's best efforts to keep them dry, the chicks are wet. She is starting to look like a drowned rat.

Feel bad for Niecey in this rain. Maybe they need to think about a roof for them. After all they are special and deserve the best. :egg20:

Very late post. There IS a roof over the ledge. But when the rain blows in from the east or southeast, they get wet.

Poor Niecey looks like she is taking the brunt of it! The babes are safe and dry under her with all that down. I can't wait for this storm to pass. Thank God it isn't the tornado's. Thankful for small blessings. 45 degrees in Wilmington DE this morning.

This ledge is a fantastic place for them. So much room to gain their strength, and move around before they actually fledge.

YES, NIECEY IS DOING A GOOD JOB. I HAVEN'T SEEN A FEEDING YET THIS MORNING, MAYBE ONE IN THE DARK BEFORE I GOT TO WORK? WE HAD ABOUT 44 DEGREES WITH A WIND CHILL OF 37 AT 5:30 AM THIS MORNING. I THINK BY TOMORROW RAIN SHOULD BE GONE :-)

I know there is a roof over the ledge. I just met it would be nice if the had one on the box for weather like this.

COUPLE MORE.......... THEY ARE REALLY GROWING......I THINK THEY COULD HAVE EATEN MORE. THEY WERE STILL MAKING ALOT OF NOISE WHEN NIECEY COVERED THEM AGAIN. LIL DAD HAD A LITTLE BIT TO SAY TOO.

I thought that was a feather rather than a leg. Missed seeing Lil Dad, as I was sending some email. Clicked over to the cam right away when I heard him, but he was already gone.

I see the babies aren't hanging out in the front today. Poor little darlings are snuggled tight under Niecey looks like :egg15:

Oh my goodness, they are all pecking at her beak, they are hungry and one's got that leg hanging from it's beak or stuck to him.

Alarm calls being made first by lil dad off camera, then from niecey who went to the edge off the scrape at 1045
