Thanks catwoman.

I watched a feed too, but I think later. I was thinking that the one she was feeding was the little one.

I'm posting late. Email from Eric Rosenberg on SJ Yahoo forum. He was downtown watching Clara and Fernando today. Apparently they teamed up to chase an intruding tiercel out of the territory in the AM. In the afternoon, he returned and with some other watchers, saw Clara and Fernando do several hunts before Fernando was able to bring something to the ledge.

He also believes he saw EC again outside of downtown in Campbell.

Thanks for sharing that with us, mw! That explains why I saw the babes alone a number of times yesterday. So Clara is already helping with the hunting. Kind of surprising, but those babes have to eat! Must have been a pigeon she brought to the nestbox at around 4 pm nestbox time cause the feeding went on a long time!

Good to hear that EC might have been spotted!

Just saw Clara fly to the ledge, sit there for a while, then take off. She returned with a small piece of prey & is in the box feeding the kids their breakfast. I'm glad mw posted the report from yesterday indicating that both Clara & FC were seen or I would be concerned that something had happened to him!

Heads up

They are definitely getting full heads down now. Occasionally, a head will jerk back up.

That was only a couple of hours between feeds, which is the normal for small ones like this! :egg20:

Firefighters battled for hours on Sunday, finally bringing a 5-alarm fire under control in downtown San Jose at KNTV's former studios.

This must be the fire I saw yesterday.

Chicks are squirming and moving around right now, then snoozing again. :egg17:

Wow, that was quite a fire! Glad it wasn't any closer to the nest! :egg14:

Clara is feeding her babies. She came in with the prey and seemed breathless, maybe she caught it herself.

Anyway, they are all getting some, even the small one. He can really stretch his little legs to reach.

Me too, I think they are getting full for sure, nodding off some now. :sum9:

Bless their hearts, they are snuggling now.

Thanks mwplay.

FC just brought in prey. It looked fresh and pretty big.

This is the second feeding I've seen today. Here are some shots of the first.

They are able to take much bigger bites now. Looks like the food is almost gone and they are going strong. Hope FC is hunting again already.

walking around with big crops, although you can't tell from this picture. I'll try to get a better one, but the lighting is not good for this nest since they closed off the sides.

I wondered why the view doesn't seem to be as good as it was. They're apparently growing like weeds & energetic! :loveshow:

FC comes to the nest, I assume that he brought in prey and that Clara is preparing. As usual, he wants to feed the chicks so he finds a scrap and tries. They soon catch on that Mom has the real food and it's best to wait for her.

Their crops do not look totally empty but they always act as though they are starving. :girlcrazy:

After the feed, Clara (pretty sure) stashes the leftovers while the chicks look on. Aren't they cute?

The prey is banded. Later FC comes to get the prey. ( I hope he was supposed to do that)
