CHATTERING WAS LIL DAD SHOWING UP ON THE POINT WITH A RED-WINGED BLACKBIRD. HE'S GOING TO TOWN ON IT. MAYBE SHE DIDN'T WANT THAT FOR BREAKFAST? MAYBE HE WILL SAVE HER SOME AT THE END. I SEE NIECEY ON THE SHIELD NOW TOO, WASN'T SURE WHERE SHE WAS.

I feel sorry for the Red-wing. Poor thing just completed its migration, and there it is on the ledge. And there are MILLIONS of them. I do better to not know what the prey is, but that is a great picture.

Thanks for all the various birthday wishes. :-) Am now waiting for Niecey to do something besides SITTING in the scrape. At least she's in the right place! Am going to pop outside for a few minutes, but will have the phone out there with me just in case an egg looks imminent.

Finally got to tune in to the camera this morning and saw Niecey lying down. Was hoping there was an egg under her, but I see by the posts there is not.

I'm hoping for today to be the day and as a nice gift for Jane.

She just went out on the ledge. Most of her tail is in the scrape. And Lil Dad just arrived in the scrape to see what is or is not going on.

I see Lil Dad has returned from wherever he was. He had been in the scrape arranging the gravel, then out front, and now he's not visible. Hope he's planning on how to keep safe and warm on Thursday and Friday. Thursday is to be very windy with wind chills in the single digits. Friday is better, but still cold. And after that it looks like it's to warm up again.
