I have never seen this problem before...but, I am finding a lot of information when I search the internet. I'll go ahead and tell you what I am reading is WAY over my head!!

I'll keep reading and researching to see if there is anything I can do about it from my end. :nailbite:

Of course I do know I'm a guest here and it's not "my" thread. Many others can post the same frames and comments. Just, as everybody knows, I love the TT nest and am glad to follow its "owners" here too. :sum9:

BTW, maybe time to say I don't post anymore on the Italian forum. Long and useless to tell the many reasons why, just for the ones going there who don't see Nuri45 and me anymore, we had to take this decision. :imbored:

Kim, it is so great to have you here with us again!! Again, I am so sorry that you are having problems.

My question to you is how often is this happening? I see you are sometimes able to post pics. Do you always use imageshack and are you always posting from the same computer.

What I am reading now is that the problems come form what's called Mod_security, which originates on the server that BCAW uses. Unfortunately, I cannot do anything about that, so I am searching now to see if there is code that I can add to the BCAW's htaccess file so that you can by pass the server's security.

oops...I just read that there is nothing I can add to htaccess that will trick the server...

OK...back to the drawing board!!!

Trying to answer the questions:
It didn't happen immediately.. Can't tell how many times.. maybe 3 or 4.
I always used ImageShack from the same computer.
Then, after a few posts, the server asked to post smaller images, I did.
Some posts were ok, the server accepted them.
Suddenly it didn't work anymore and the error massage was shown..

As I can post words, it's clear the issue is with the pics.
Maybe could try Photobucket and see if the size (normal size for forums) is ok or not...

Let me try, then you can delete all the useless posts. :sum6:

I agree that SGB is a great admin & does a lot of technical stuff. I have a feeling that you can't do much tweaking of the forum software unless you've spent countless hours training on that software, so don't feel bad, SGB. :2snowflake:

....and thanks Kim for that explanation...ok...I'm trying to remember if we have had issues with ImageShack before...also, pics cannot be larger than 785 pixels wide. It may be that if you were trying to post a pic larger than that, then you got that strange error message. Usually if a picture is wider than 785, then you should have gotten a message saying the picture was too wide.

For reference, 785 pixels is approximately 20.32 cm

I remember a while back when our server (AceNet) suddenly blocked all of our pics from Photobucket. when I contacted our server they said it was because they had detected malware on Photobucket. It could very well be that our server has detected something with ImageShack and they have tightened security coming from there...who knows.

I'll be interested to see if you have better luck with Photobucket or if you try posting smaller pics from ImageShack.
