Lowell...I'm thinking eggs soon..maybe even today...she spent the past 2 nights at the box door and she's been in there a pretty long time so far today...

Bonding in box/Prey exchange. 4.15.14

If the female was in the box and the male made the delivery, the cam must distort size. Unless they were taking food away to cache?

Great catch, mwplay...I think the cam does distort...I have a hard time deciding who is in the box...

Lowell - I have been on phone and have a bonding video to post + they've been frozen in box now for approx 9+ minutes at 3:59pm! I keep thinking my cam is freezing, but it's them. I think Dad wants to see the egg, but Mom is reluctant to leave! What is it with these standoffs this year?!!

ETA: This really is the strangest thing. I can't tell why Dad is all puffed up and Mom is, I think standing over egg. Each barely moving. Finally after 15+ minutes Dad takes off. Mom just didn't want to leave the egg.

good grief I didn't even realize there was an egg under her the whole time I watched them in the box. He seemed timid to go around her. Later she moved and I saw it. I then came here and see the videos.

UMass Lowell to ‘adopt’ peregrine falcons :clap:

After soaring through two decades as the River Hawks, UMass Lowell is finally getting a couple of the birds to call its own — no mascot costume needed.

A pair of peregrine falcons, originally discovered nesting atop a dorm building by maintenance workers seven years ago, are to be “formally adopted” by the university at a public ceremony on Tuesday, school officials said.
