CHICKS WERE ALONE, NIECEY JUST CAME IN EMPTY TALONED. LOOKED AROUND AND LEFT AGAIN. I GUESS SHE'S WAITING FOR DELIVERY FROM LIL DAD :-)

EDIT: NIECEY CAME BACK EMPTY TALONED AGAIN, AND COVERED THE BABIES UP :-)

At 3:05 looked in to find a pile of fluffy little ones. At least one looked ready to eat. I am sure their parents will see to it...

Just watched a feeding that lasted maybe 15 minutes. Niecey took the remains out of the scrape. Shortly afterwards it sounded like there was a canoodle up there somewhere. And Lil Dad is getting some time to brood the chicks now. :-)

Noticed that Niecey had been sitting up on the shield while Lil Dad was brooding the chicks. He just left, and she's back with the chicks.

I watched him leave. I thought he was going to break a leg, a wing and kill a chick in the process.

I didn't have the volume on so don't know why he left like that.

FEEDING OVER IN ABOUT 2 MINS! IF SHE CHUPPED AT THEM, I BET THEY WOULD HAVE EATEN MORE!

OH, I SEE NOW THAT IT'S LIL DAD WHO IS WITH THE CHICKS. HE RAN RIGHT IN THERE :flirty:

Just as Lil Dad got comfortable on the chicks, Niecey returned, but she decided to let him stay

NIECEY MADE AN ALARM CALL TO GET LIL DAD OFF THE CHICKS AND THEN SHE WENT IN THERE WITH THEM, LOL!

She's sound asleep on the chicks right now. Has her head tucked beneath her wing.

I watched a whole feeding about 6:45 this evening. She did well. They started to fall asleep and she clucked and woke them up to feed some more. The dear things were there by themselves before she came and the one kept opening its mouth. I was so happy she fed them well.
