10:47 - Stand off.

Beauty is back early from her break after only 45 minutes. She's on the beam in front of box. Looks like she had a good meal while off duty. When DC came in, he had feathers in his talons, so my guess is he prepped and cached a meal for her.

I think he isn't happy with the fact that he's not getting his normal 2-3 hours!

B has now jumped to front lip of box. DC has his back to her and there is lots of conversation going on. I really don't think he's going to move - nope.

Well, he finally moved and I do think Beauty may have stepped on his tail (2:20 mark in video) to get him up.

She came back already - poor little guy, he really loves to incubate. He reminds me so much of Lil Dad. :flirty:

No kidding. I just brought in the trash bin and saw Beauty was back. He only got like 9 minutes... Well, he was late, so maybe B just needed a potty break.

So funny.

I totally think he would stay on all night if he could.

It's poop. That egg is going to fool us when it is close to hatch. They just started hard incubation on around 4/14, so we've got a good time to wait.

She is so big compared to him he really doesn't have much chance in a stand off, but he sure is cute :flirty:

There's thoughts that this might be Billie, Gleig and Diamante's offspring from CT in Buffalo. Hope that Joyce or one of the watchers can get an ID on these 2...maybe same pair that have been seen at KP?

Wow - On the Rfalconcam Facebook page, MAK has a video of her view from her balcony. It really is an amazing beautiful view.

Now we know why DC & Beauty were on guard to the north. You can totally see DT and the Frontier Communication Tower, etc...

I think they spent a lot of time with the kids at FCT last year and now with this new pair at ST/HE/KP area, I wonder if they will still use that spot this year.

Well, I know there are areas of country where pairs are within blocks from each other. If there's an ample food source and these 2 pair can work out territorial boundries, hopefully all will work out.

I don't believe it's UT-the ends of the tail and wings are much darker than any I've ever seen. This is probably the falcon seen on and off at Unitys' KP power plant this past winter.

I think Beauty was a little too slow getting up for DC's shift.

Just summarizing some tweets...

At 2:50pm today, Carol tweeted she had 3 falcons at ST. 2 were chasing 1. Juvie and Male returned.

At the same time DT, DC was on eggs, B was on break. At 3:16pm, B returned to eggs, DC out.

Have no idea if it was Beauty there checking things out, or if another falcon. Will have to wait and see what Carol reports later.
