Wondered if that would happen. I saw the poor little thing in there earlier. You know that's what happened to chick # 4 at San Jose that terrible year. I almost gave up watching the cam after that. Thinking what could be worse than that, and then of course, we lost Blue too. I was even mad at dear Clara. Pray the rest of the chicks thrive. We grow attached to them and feel we should be able to help in some way when we can see they are in trouble.
Hang in there mwplay and enjoy those that remain.

I remember that all too well. That's why I knew there were 3 options 1) remove, 2) consume or 3) disregard.

We've seen 2 out of 3 in San Jose alone, haven't we? As I described it to someone earlier today, that was horrific at the time.

Tomorrow is a new day. I'm so glad it's dark now..

Thank you everyone. I know it doesn't hurt just me. It hurts all of because we love these birds and their young.

Hugs to all...

Feeding going on. I'd say medium sized prey.

Saw another feeding earlier today, lasted a long time. When it was over, Cher took away nothing but a wing, it looked like. A few minutes later, Dan, it must have been, came in with that same wing to feed the chicks. They did get up but the feed didn't last long. :egg11:

Edit , the feed is now over and she left with nothing but a leg. Hope he doesn't come back with that foot.

Saw a feeding maybe 40 minutes ago. It was a small bird and they finished it in no time.

Saw parent, assume Dan came in to check for scraps. The chicks had crops so I figured I'd just missed the feeding

Got focused on something and look over and those little things are eating again and for a good while. Well they are out now.

Good catch. :egg21: :egg21:

Jim (Zooey91) who posts the "official" videos had this to say:

There is a feed going on right now and it looks like some kind of white bird. Someone probably got married and released white doves, making for an easy target... :egg18:

But I know our birds need to eat.

I'm glad I didn't see it come in...

Ya know, mom and dad Zielitz are always bringing in something white...I just assumed pigeon...but, maybe I need to research that nest location more...personally, I don't see a lot of solid white pigeons in Atlanta...

To the horror of the wedding guests I am sure.

Here's the video - I don't have it when it first came in, just that before I started recording was seeing all white feathers... So I assumed dove. It is good sized and shorter legs, so I don't think a gull (I guess it could be), or one of those really large white pigeons we sometimes see in San Jose.

This is not a gross video... nothing too graphic except for lunch.

Nice big dinner feed going on right now. Looks like maybe Cher brought in a pigeon. It was pretty good sized.

Glenn Stewart posted this to the SF and SJ forum....

This note appeared in my personal email. Those of you who watch the cameras regularly will appreciate this:

Hi,
I have enjoyed watching the Peregrine falcon webcams. Thank you!
I do wish there was more information posted on the individual nest histories and I have commented on this before. Specifically, I would like to know what the general feed times are for the baby falcons so I can watch. Most of the time when I check they are all just sleeping. This basic information would be appreciated, as I would prefer to not join a forum in order to find out.
