No clue, KF...they said the boys fledged...I can't imagine them coming back...at least not yet...sometimes a parent will sit on top of the box or cam...

Earlier I watched for a moment when parent came with food and fed the two boys. It looked as if she was yelling/crying (body movement) but never opened her mouth. It sure looks like the dreaded trich. Let's hope she can recover and be back at the nest in a couple of days.

Is trich a hard thing to recover from?!?!?!?

Sally, Usually yes..it is fatal unless treated.

Hopefully, if it is trich (or Frounce) the boys didn't pick it up when they were beaking her...

I keep trying to post and mess it up.

One of the boys made it to the AEP tower and I believe one was on the Huntington building. Both good, safe spots for them.

Chris did say that Reign had something going on with her mouth so I believe the guess is correct. She also said she was a little stinky. But she is off to the best place she could be going. Medina is a great spot and do doubt will get a Dr checkup also.

Keep your fingers crossed. I'll probably go down after work.

So happy she's off to Medina..mouth + stinky usually = Trich....bummer..hope they got to her in time..Thanks to you and Matrix for being so persistent about this...

Oh boy I feel so badly for her - she did look so pitiful - poor baby. I hope she recovers and can be released too. Oh my goodness that is so sad. :egg15:

Not to be a downer & I'm certainly not an expert, but if she has to be treated for trich, I wouldn't count on Reign being brought back anytime soon, if at all. Blue Boy's treatment for trich lasted about 3 weeks & he was about the same age as Reign when his trich was caught. In 3 weeks, it may be decided that Reign should fledge somewhere else rather than being brought back to the nestbox. On the other hand, her treatment may take less time & she may be back here. I'm very glad she is getting some help! :egg19:

WOW! What a day!!

On the phone with Cheryl...she is downtown right now...The boys are Ok...one is on the roof of the Huntington Building, and One made it back to the Canton Club building but not quite o the nest ledge...Both are fine and M&M are monitoring...

Thank You All for the coverage! Was at work and it was a long day now knowing what was going on!

At our site 2 years ago, they took tow chicks out and they were treated and were successful but not brought bakc to nest.

other chick was not as bad and they left him in and treated aggressively for 4days. Someone actually went up and gave treatment to it every day. It was successful. so it depends on stage.

what am I missing her. Did the other two lfy off when they took Reign . sorry , I have been away helping daughter since Friday and just able to check in at night.

Yes Bev, the other 2 fledged when they went to get her, but they knew that could happen & that fortunately they had enough flight feathers to fledge safely. Really glad to hear they are safe.
