I'm not sure that is DC. His breast area is very white lower on his body. This bird has darker striping further up.

Should also add... weird place for DC.

Most of the "visitor" birds land on a side ledge and approach from there. Seen this several times with other birds that visit the nest - UT's, Pigott, etc....

Normally DC & B would just go to box.

Just out of meeting and catching up! I think it's UT..lol..I knew it! Stay safe buddy!

Yep... you sure did!

B stayed in the elevator shaft most of the morning while DC was on OCSR. Patsy reported B on OCSR about an hour ago, then this happens....

I don't think he's going to give up that easy, especially if DC leaves for hours/days.

DC was just in the box, chirping for B. He was there a few seconds, then flew off. 12:09

ETA - 100% positive DC - Chirp + bands.

Cams did not pick up his brief visit.

2:12 - someone was just at nest. Made a peep or squeak, so can't tell if it is B, DC or ???

Gone now.

I think it's DC. If I blow up the pic, can see what looks like black band. ETA: or could possibly be the background blending in.

Just surprised B isn't there with him as normally, she beats him to the box, or is there within seconds.

Unless he has given her a treat and she's eating while he guards?

MAK just tweeted at 2:21 that she's at BS with P. So could very well be DC.

Or she ran off with UT, he was there earlier you said looking for her :sum5:

He definitely was there earlier. I saw him in the box and first thing I did before trying to get pic was to look for bands. Black on left leg. Sounded just like him.

Now, the bird from earlier on other building, I do not think was DC. Unless we've got another black/silver bander in town.... And quite bold to go directly to box and announce himself.

Lisa was downtown earlier and didn't see anything.

She's vocalizing a little. Some wailing. Guessing DC is above and she wants him to come down to bond in the box.
She was probably hoping for a little more than bonding. :teehee:

She didn't lay her first egg last year until April 16th so we have plenty of time to wait for things to start happening, I guess. :imbored:

Hi Matrix.

Yes, we believe it was a male, and best guess is it's not DC (resident male).

Carol (@wanderingfalcon) 6:05pm: DT. B inside elevator shaft north ledge. Probably DC on TSB. All quiet. Time to go.

Matrix, as further answer to your question, Beauty (the resident female) has a peach-colored chest, so this is obviously not her.

Actually when it's minus 30-40 with the wind chill, our falcons get so puffed up they look quite a bit larger. I swear some mornings when I see O'Connor on the web cam, she looks like a GHO. UT is a decent sized tiercel. We grow em big up here in the North ... :ohyes:

LOL Carly! O'Conner hatched 30 miles from me! :6snowflake:

Another question...i have not seen any posts from the watchers about the peregrine at that stack, near Rochester... or am I missing the posts?
