May 31 Saturday
Fri-Sat overnite the kids spent the nite on the ledge, parent standing by
Did 2 young falcons fledge before 9 am UK time today?

Morning - Awoke to one of the kids sitting on the ledge by nestbox looking out, bobbing his head.
He sat there a long time. I do not see any other bird. He preened - and preened, laid down and napeed. Just before noon he vanished when I was AFK.

NOON - Dad appears on the ledge - alone - with prey still struggling.
I read about another fledgling nest where parent brot prey still alive.
Must be part of training. Didnt live long.
One young appeared screaming from behind cam, then a 2nd appeared.
They were down the open ledge - no one panning cam today.
Young demanding to be fed beek to beek, the other took a chunk and vanished again.

lozo - so funny how they waddle when they run. Grabs prey from parent, drags it off. lol
Your video #2 falcon young was flapping like crazy - and suddenly vanished.

Frank is the name of the male falcon chick, and was named for the man who made the nest and is retiring from Notts.

May 30 Friday morning all 4 still up on ledge
May 31 Saturday noon I have only seen 2

May 31 Saturday noon I have only seen 2
Parent came - no prey - jumped into box then headed down the roof
I switched to nestcam that has sound and I could hear them a distance away.
So at least 2 are there but off cam

I see 3 of the 4 on ledge
O sweet. One workin on prey in box, the other came begging, one young falcon fed the other.
Very endearing. I saw 2 young eaglets, the older female fed her younger brother.
one is flapping way down at the corner
1900 - cam zoomer showed up
1 halfway down open ledge, 2 (?) sleeping on the wall ledge, 1 may be around the corner?
I dont know if it fledged or not. It worth getting the pics I can get.

June 1 SONday - NO FLEDGE YET - but soooooooooooo close
1745 afternoon - 2 on the corner of the open ledge
One closer to nest
That falcon was pumping so hard - so long with his wings, that he coulda flown around Nottingham twice.
WHOA! One of them ran along the thin outside edge from nestbox to far corner
was afraid he'd sail right off
Sunday, June 1 at 1927 All 4 are there

NOON
- Only 2 screamers came when parent landed on ledge with lunch.
I sure hope Notts posts information so I know if 2 have fledged.
One grabs a chunk and feeds itself in the box, the other sits by prey after parent leaves.

Seeing our kids fledge is a combination of YAHOOOOOO! and *snifff*
1400 (2.00 pm) 2 eating near equipment

WHO is watching who? fledgling looking in window - so cute!

June 3 Tuesday FLEDGE(less) report
Only my own cam observations

I so often see the males fledge first, regardless of hatch order,
so I suspect Tinker Frank is off the f-ledge and his sisters still home bound.
They clearly hear the call of the wild as they look out and bob their heads.

I see 3. The last time I saw all 4 was Sunday. One likes to run around the corner behind the bldg.
8 pm Monday - 3 on the ledge - it appears 1 is on a ledge just below
A parent it going in and out there, and juvie, probably Frank, is looking at him.

10.30 am I see youngster run from ledge behind cam down to the far corner, go around corner, then return to where nestbox is. He looks over the edge (snip) because evidently thats where sibling is.
I clikt to nestbox cam which has sound. Judging by the screaming, the others are nearby!
They may be on ledge a floor below - one is, dont know about others.
The way one flapped standing on the edge I wouldnt be surprised if it slipped off to ledge below.

Snip in window - He flew from ledge to that window - he could probly fly to the next building
I think he wants to get inside
Now he is on the ledge screaming like a banshee (I see his beek)

I see a dead blackbird (no loss) and a dead pigeon. I hate to see prey go to waste.
This juvie wants to be FED, he doesnt want to tear it himself.
Even his sibling feeds him!

1250 Suddenly I caught the flutter of wings and this f-ledgling appeared on ledge - snip
I dont know from where

How much is that birdie in the window?
