how old are they ? I will look back. I have my hands full with my sites. so possibly 33 days old. young but should be able to flutter, with all the trees etc.

Between 32 and 34 days old

I do not think they should remove it. We have seen how they work their way up with help of parents.

Like they say we have learned a lot. Last year, they nested later because of fighting, so it worked out.

NOPE. Dont remove the box!
I dont think a single falcon chick has been lost due to early fludge.
The young have enuf wing power to safely land -
and enuf lung power to let parents know where they are! :egg11:

I personally enjoy the view of the river and locks and barges.
Minnesota is where I grew up.

In past years falcon young have - fludged - at this age.
Then in about a week, they are able to fly UP -
and we see them playing all over the bluff
There is no need to worry, falcon parents are able guardians

I dont understand the worry.
I do like nestboxs like Omaha where the young have roon to run around when they exit box

I just have not had time to watch Shep. with my 5 sites here, and my crazy life. I have followed faithfully in past years and watched as cam ops fin d them and we hear them and then poof , most make the way up.

so I iwll try and put it up sometime today and take a peek

well that is not good. another female around with youngsters.

I wish cam would search more, and they search th e one side all the time. last year, our youngster went on other side quite a way s down a lot. different female , last year, different place to take kids.

hope our female remains in control
