When I come in here ... I have a hard time leaving the bear cams and reading their chat!! It's so darn fun!!

Yes Alaska had a rare heat wave which slowed the salmon run until it cooled down a bit on our 2nd day at Katmai. We started out in Fairbanks and worked our way south eventually flying out of Anchorage. It was a wonderful trip and I would love to go back to Brooks Falls.

:15heartbeat: I believe they have given up!! Phoebe left the nest at about 9:00 this morning and that was it! Both have been there either on the perch or on the nest for short periods, but not incubating. When you go back the 12 hours on the DVR, the nest is primarily empty. The egg is there, but has been covered at times. :15heartbeat:
