Dysynni wakes up to his 99th Dyfi sunrise this morning.
This will now make him the second oldest (out of 24) Dyfi offspring to migrate.
Fascinating to ponder what makes some of these birds go as early as 81 days
while others stay around for another three weeks...
Berthyn (2019) holds the record of oldest youngster to migrate from this nest of 101.4 days.

Loch of the Lowes, Scotland:

An osprey headed to the favorite dead birch and perched there.

Note that reflexion, it's only one bird not two..

Dyfi, Wales:
Dysynni arrived at Montys pole waiting for Idris with a fish.
Then he took off to the nest and got his food.

Loch of the Lowes Visitor Centre and Wildlife Reserve

Now that it has been a couple of days since we have seen either LM12 or LR2,
we believe that all of our ospreys have departed.
We wish them well on their migration, and hope to see LM12 and NC0 next year.

Although our ospreys have left, there is still plenty to see on our reserve including:
the great crested grebes and chicks, tufted ducks, golden eye, Egyptian geese,
red squirrels, fallow deer, nuthatch, great spotted woodpeckers as well as much more.

Rutland Manton Bay, England: Bye, Bye Maya & Blue 33(11) on migration south into their winter gardens...

They possibly have gone otherwise the cormorants wouldn't conquer the nest now

Loch of the Lowes, Scotland:

Both osprey chicks have now fledged from their nest at our Loch of the Lowes Wildlife Reserve and Visitor Centre in Dunkeld.

Young female osprey PF4 took to the skies for her maiden flight around the stunning Perthshire loch on Sunday 9 July at 10:07am. Taking a courageous leap from her large nest she landed back safely on it a few minutes later.

14.07.2023
Not to be outdone by his elder sister, young male osprey 'Blue PF5' took to the skies aged 59 days, on Thursday morning at 9:47am. After several weeks of wingsercise, (flapping, jumping, helicoptering and squealing), the young lad made the leap from the perch into the sky.

The Glaslyn 2023 chicks have been ringed and it looks as though 0H1 and 0H2 are both male.
The ringing video will be on the way soon...
