I hadn't been able to get the cam for several days, so I sent them a message via Facebook. They made a public statement earlier today:

From Chicago Peregrine Program

    "It is with deep regret that we announce the loss of Chicago's UIC peregrine chicks. While we can't confirm the cause, it is possible death of the young birds was the result of bird flu. It will be looked into but please don't expect any immediate answers.

    Try to focus on the positive - the adult peregrines seem to be fine and there's no reason they won't nest successfully next year.

    UIC has hosted nesting peregrines for over 25 years - some of those young are out breeding now. We'll tell you about one of them tomorrow. Today, be assured we are as sad as are all the UIC peregrine fans over losing 4 beautiful chicks. Needless to say, the webcam has been turned off."

No info other than 2 males and 2 females...( it amazes me how they don't think "we"are interested in band numbers...sigh!!...and yes, I have sent a request)

Also news from Lee (Springfield)...
The three chicks at the old Ayer Mill in Lawrence MA (now New Balance) got banded. That obviously happened this past week.
The male parent in Lawrence MA is banded 78/AB, 'Peanut', hatched in 2016, son of the longstanding adult pair at Manchester NH
