Huge Favor to ask. If anyone happens to get band information for North America Peregrine Falcon nests, could you please either post that info here or link me to your post under that particular nest. I'm putting known band numbers on the nesting calendars. I've already posted a few on the calendars...you can check them out here:

cam in the nest does not work. The platform camera works.

Maybe there is more to know about when they will start climbing the platform

Does anyone here remember a female falcon that had a very long upper beak and had trouble feeding the chicks?
I know there was at least one case in the past 15 years but can't remember when or where.
The female currently at Nottingham (UK) has such a deformation of the upper beak. And in 2018 the female at the Sutton nest had it too.
I got a question about it on Twitter from the LPP https://twitter.com/LdnPeregrines?s=20

Cobb Island female after Renetta. Can't remember which one. She got more food on herself than in the chicks mouths...but, she managed.

The current female at QHS, Sutton, has that problem so probably the same 2018 female. There have been a few others, but can't remember where/when...I believe there is a medical term for it, but can't remember what it is.

The falcons were transported to the birds of prey clinic this morning. Unfortunately one of the three had died at daybreak.
The other two are alive, but infested with parasites, much like fleas, which feed on blood and therefore cause anemia. They will be treated and fed, and we cross our fingers for a return to the nest as quickly as possible. We will know more during the day, more news will follow. Thank you for your encouragement!

OH NO!!! Thanks for that rather grim news, DEF....hopefully (like we've seen in the past) they can be treated and returned ASAP. So glad they intervened!! We've all seen what can happen with a heavy parasite load. Hopefully, that is all that is wrong.

come on babies!!

The female at Cobb Island was named Eve, wasn’t it?
