Banding news...Palmyra Cove - NJ
The chicks were banded this week.
Two are females and one male. The bands are BM/95, BM/96 (females) and BH/41 (male).
They took blood samples and medicated them against pigeon-borne trichomonas parasites.
Per facebook ... Ingrid asked ~ What colour combination are the bands?
- they would appear to be in the same sequence as Fiona's, so black over green. In addition, the females would have a black federal band on their right leg, and the males would have a silver federal band.

:sorrow: Blue at Harrisburg. He fledged at 10:47 am. About 2 hours later he attempted to land on the 15th floor ledge of the Rachel Carson State Office Building, but flew into the side of it and perished per the "Falcon Wire".

The chicks moved to the terrace. Their parents look after them there.

:dancegirl: Dr. Sharpe banded the Fraser Point eaglets yesterday morning on 5/28/22. Found out on chat that sometimes if they are the same sex, he also bands on opposite legs to tell them apart, so waited till today to see what he reported. Male, Orange Band on right 57/D, Federal on left. Female, Orange Band on left 53/D, Federal on right.

:15heartbeat: Apparently Niecey at Harrisburg has been injured since the 28th and she was rescued last evening on the 30th. Everyone there and here remained tightlipped in their usual fashion. More at site from the "Falcon Wire" from this morning's first report of this.
